Why not add a new support class?

    Support classes do matter weather it is in PvE or PvP because its about skill AND strategy, and these OP DPS classes keep coming in and yes the bard class must be nice.

  • Bard, druid, tamer, witch, necromancer, shaman... There's many options for a new support class. If they make one, I'll gladly have one. :3
  • Make a new support class that plays more with aiming and range positioning that has a self peel when being focused.
    The aiming skills should have 25meter range instead of 18meter
    - has 2 crowd control skill: single target 15 meter push back and an AoE melee 5 meter knockdown.
    - 1 lockon heal that heals for 25k, 1 aoe heal with a range of eviscerate which heals for 40k, and 1 high cooldown single target heal that gives the target 5% hp every second for 10s
    - 1 self heal for 30k, and cleanses yourself.
    - a high cooldown, fast animation, 18m single target regression (doesnt give 50% cdr on target like plague) aiming skill
    - an aiming skill (30 power buff 30 crit rate 10 attack speed) for your team with 10s cooldown
    - an aiming skill that reduces the enemy targets crit chance by 30%
    - an aiming skill that silences the target for 3 seconds (silence cannot be broken when hit)
    - an aiming skill that cleanses a target, has 1.5 seconds cooldown
    - an AoE melee 5 meter sleep, same duration as a sorcerer's which splits on multiple target.
    - an iframe skill (that can be cut off into 2 like reaper/slayer) with around 6s cooldown
    - a 15meter jaunt with 15s cooldown (for repositioning)
    - this healer will be slowed down upon using a couple of skills (such as gunner)
    - this healer will not have any stagger immunity skills

  • None of the above. We NEED! MUST HAVE! An all race/gender second magic damage class like the sorcerer, who stands alone there. We NEED! MUST HAVE! A Geomancer class. One that does earth damage that can also act as a support class.
    Imagine an area shockwave or earthquake that also acts as a knockdown. That would do SO well in team play as well as solo.

    Right now if I want to play a tank, I can either choose Lancer or a female human.

    I did make a zerk for that reason, but I can only start tanking at lvl65. But o wells, lvling to 65 is fast. I've seen 2 zerk tanks so far and they can barely hold the agro as well as lance and brawler. Although I don't mind because I do see the afford the player is trying their best so props to them.

    The main thing bothers me the most is that some people see them as a joke. Like "zerk/warrior tank = no tank" stuff going on.

    Well the lack of infuriate and lowered damage block on their weapons (like 39k + 60% increase during dstance) means zerks are going to bleed through a lot more on bosses which makes them a lot less desirable as tanks. A real quick infuriate skill addition and small number increase to match the other tanks block values would make them viable.

    Holding aggro as a zerk is really good, it's just bhs forgot some things to make them actually work.

    Edit: The difference between zerk and brawler blocks is just under 9k which is pretty strong especially in cases like Pahoegar in SSHM

    In the case of Warrior, it simply required practice to actually hold aggro. The issue with tanks is the wide gap in aggro generation which makes it worse if there's ever a boss that prevents the tank from being able to hit as often. Lancer for instance could basically afk and not lose aggro, while Brawler, Warrior, and Berserker have to constantly commit. Although at least Brawler is compensated a bit by being able to attack and block if Growing Fury is maintained, and the glyph on kick for when it's not maintained. The other issue is what do they offer, Brawler has high damage, and Lancer has rather comparable damage while providing utility to the group that further improves their damage, then you have Warrior and Berserker that will generally deal less damage than Lancer while also having no utility and essentially being squishier than Lancer. This is why even before Brawler was released there was issues with tanks because you never had a reason to take anything other than Lancer, and now it's still the same thing, just you take either Brawler or Lancer.

    Although at least Warrior tanking is being looked at pretty soon, unfortunately I haven't seen anything regarding Berserker tanking though.

    Thanks for the analysis :D. I don't have problem with at least 2 choices of tanks class just like having 2 choices of healers (I categorize zerk and warrior as off-tank if that's even a thing). But the fact that brawler is gender/race locked has lost my interest. Just personal opinion :)
