Does anyone think Dawnfall IOD dailies are better?
Keep the same rewards, currency as secrets and shadows patch, the option to do IOD dailies on the same boss with 8x general and overall daily badges. Remove Keening Dawns and nerf the HP so this doesn't become a luck-based grind fest.
What I think about the new dailies is that it's 2x grindier than Downfall's version and you have no say on what bosses you get to fight. I believe the HP of these bosses got buffed way too hard for the atrocious drop rate of keening dawns.
It took me 15 minutes to finish 3x Dawnfall dailies on Nagas on my warrior with a semi-optimized build. It takes me 30 minutes to do tier 2 or 3 dailies as my warrior with a fully optimal pve build in this patch with a +12 mid-tier weapon just like in Dawnfall. 10 minutes on Nagas, now since HP got buffed hard.
If this is the devs' way of thinking to make things hard then it isn't because it's still as easy as hell with just more damage infliction. Only Hydraths hurt a lot.
My Overall Summary of differences in IOD dailies for both patches-
Dawnfall
Pros
-Bosses tickled you and had a reasonable amount of HP except for Giants and Hydraths.
-Completion time is gear-based, not RNG-based(Keening Dawn Mote Drops)
-You can choose which group of bosses to do dailies on.
Cons
-Can't do lower tier dailies unless you lower your current item lv.
-Could only do 3 daily
Secrets and Shadows
Pros
-Some bosses can actually be a threat in terms of killing you now. (Ex. Hydraths)
-If you get lucky with Keening Dawns, then you can finish dailies at a faster rate than with the Dawnfall Version.
Cons
-Seems to be RNG-Based instead of skill or gear-based. Making it seem punishing for players that have the right gears and skills to complete the dailies, but get horrible luck with Keening Dawns while terribly geared or unskilled players get lucky with Keening Dawns and possibly end up completing IOD dailies faster.
-Keening Dawns! Why? They're too op with a terrible drop rate, which is probably the main reason why the bosses have 2x more HP than in Dawnfall.
-You get a random group of bosses to fight per quest. You can't choose your quest.
-You can't repeat certain quests on the same boss after you do them for the day.
Overall I can't do IOD anymore, unless I fully gear up my ninja's Slaughter weapon.

I'm not sure what you mean by this x: you get the same three groups of three, only the order is switched now and then. If you scroll down in the list you can get the lvl 67 and 65 BAMs too if that's what you're looking for...
This patch doesn't allow it. It's for different tiers. The quests for each tier is randomized and cannot be repeated once done for the day.
Helps me with my glyphs, I have many to get yet in at least eight chars. You can sell some stuff from tokens shop. Win reward points. And you can see how you're improving from one class to another at endgame gameplay.
Some classes you make the easy and medium ones, some just the easy ones, brawler and ninja you make what you want of course cuz they are broken. Lol But it's fine. It's nice.
They could change the bams themselves maybe to bams that are in dungeons as well, but it's alright. I love it. Lemme warm up killing my bams, please. :pleased:
I personally would like instead that they change the bam selection from time to time so it doesn't get too boring.
I wouldn't mind the randomization of bosses for each IOD quest tier because at least the Giants and Hydraths in my opinion take a shorter amount of time to fight compared to Dawnfall's version.
Giants in Dawnfall just kept running all over the place that I couldn't even scythe them at all and Hydraths had way too much HP back then.
Now they're much better to deal with, but it still takes too long to do them. I'm just making a reasonable guess as to why the HP is still so damn high despite Hydraths HP getting nerfed and Giants having a proper attack rotation.
If u want iod tokens and no effort then do ace dungeons. they give less but its a way to faster even dfnm gives mid tier tokens equal of killing 30 bams and takes like 15-30 min with ramdom party.
To add im able to do 30 sec(even less) per top tier bam with my src slaugther gear. And finish 16-17 mins all 3 top tier bams. And whenever is drop a keen mote i kill ea in 10 secs (can kill like 3 per min). and its only because skill i remember it took me about 1 even 2 mins to kill a top tier bam and wasnt because of my gear but my unskilled by then
Celestial arena also gives iod tokens so....
x) the mote is RNG based and sometimes it does not even drop after 10+ monsters while other times it drops x3 times in a row making it to not be so useful unless we make a rotation in the area though its not possible all the time since we have to move from one area to another to fight different type of bams ( it would be nice if we could be able to stack up motes to add more time with the exceptions that the time would be depleted even on offline characters ).
x) the bams are fewer in numbers now while at the same time much more distanced and now it can take even 10sec to run from one to another taking away even 1/6 mote timer while in the past we could get from one to another even in 2-3seconds
x) the bams are so incredibly annoying that they can stun/knockdown/stagger with almost all their attacks ( especially the giants/hydraths ) while at the same time most of the bams have this super annoying mechanic at where they simply jump back or in the air to avoid damage making the mote yet again not so effective because we cannot sustain our dps while we have it
x) the bams have much more HP/Crit resist/Endurance and this is probably because of the Keening Dawn Mote even though the Mote itself is not as useful as its supposed to be...
x) their faces are angry ( we need more happy bams! ^^ )
x) etc
But on the other side i have to agree that we get a little more gold per hour than we used to do before though the market seemed to have crashed lately making the vanguard credits and the tokens ( or even feedstock? ) to not be as valuable as when they ninja came out.
There is also no other effective way to get some decent gold than this ( i kinda miss ghillieglade for example since it was adding some little nice diversity ).
And to HiimAnix, I still need VI Credits for my MWA. I can't afford to neglect my MWA at all until I get a better method of getting gold without spending 4+ hours everyday just grinding. IODs take too long for me for the amount of VI Credits I get that I can get with mobbing or gathering dailies in Northern Arun.
I could end up getting much more gold with IODs, but it'll most likely run me over 4+ hours with 4 alts and don't get me started with doing dailies as a berserker as I don't know their proper rotation and it's super difficult to backcrit as a zerk since every dps move has to be charged up except for Raze.
Running 4x FWC + 2x DFNM would clear all 8 vanguard quests and depending on BG queues I might end up clearing them faster than an IoD farmer.
Of course gathering is also another way to get them, but it is too mundane imo.
