Afterwards, I guess I will start saving money to buy random cosmetic stuff and complete the story quests.
I play around on my many alts, gather, craft, spend hours in the dressing room ( my wish list for costumes is getting bigger by the day, thanks Eme).
There are some spectacular places on the map you can travel to, just daydream and chill out, the scenery is awesome.
Or you can take a couple of weeks to have a small break, watch some netflix (Stranger Things and Peaky Blinders are great), sometimes curling up on the couch watching TV or reading can enhance your appreciation of the game when you return.
also @vkobe ! we cant do that anymore since IoD burned down
I'll be your in-game friend
I also don't socialize much in game. Not really out of shyness, necessarily. Mostly because my erm, "unconventional" personality traits don't usually mesh well with others.
I'm endgame ready (ready to learn at least) but my potato hardware is not. My PC has very low self esteem. Probably doesn't help that I'm constantly telling it what a worthless piece of [filtered] it is. Maybe I should try to be more encouraging. Tell it that it can be an Alienware if it works really hard and dares to dream. But nahh, I don't want to give the little guy false hope.
As for how I keep the game from getting boring (for now, at least): Altitis. I've got my own little family (more like army) of alts. They all need to level and they all need gear. That keeps me pretty busy. It would be nice if they all had a place to live, a guild hall, or something, but for now I just focus on getting them situated with their gear and costumes and skills and whatnot. Kind of an internal roleplay.
You see, this game is huuuuuuge! There's 12 classes, at least 10 days of ingame hours if you wanna be a diamond laurel. Probably a lot more. Pvp, pve, crafting, gear progression, get all dungeons skilled and so on. And even then, if you know it all, theres lore and RP, and there's this forum and reddit. And the games changes. A lot. Every three months at least.
When i chose tera, i knew it was huge and chose it as my MMO... For this decade. Tera is my 10's WoW .
So, when someone says to me "i guess i'll be bored soon and that will be tedious". I think about all these things that i have to do. WITH 12 CLASSES and wonder "omg, they are bored and i have no time to make everything, i'm overhelmed, i dunno if ill end at 2020".
I guess boredom depends of your goals ingame a bit. And if you have less goals, u'll make them faster, and that brings boredom. So... Maybe setup your goals a little high will help. ^^
Is it interesting so far? I've thought about creating some chars there. I just... don't know what to expect.
Should I expect to get chat violated?
...or even worse... nobody wants to chat violate me...
Psh, please, everybody does that.
I mean... uh... you... weirdo! Gosh what a weirdo. Get a load of this guy!
This game got boring when most of the content can't be done on my potato computer because dying before you see the mech coming just because it doesn't render properly is completely stupid. Also one of the reasons why I stopped really playing this game for playing the game.
It is honestly hard to have fun when FPS starts to drop worse than before and my computer pretty much dying. I just go out, play some League (if you are a DotA 2/WoW/Diablo/HotS/Overwatch/BnS/whatever other game you play don't talk about the game, I am just giving an example), look at forums and seeing people asking for newbie advice, and replying to people being completely dumb about content before I actually build a new PC.
Dungeons difficulty should never be tied to how good your PC runs the game lol, nor should it be tied to how hard it is to gear. I probs got too sick of dying to stuff that I could dodge but couldn't due to lag.
But yeah, for any game, the best way to keep a game from becoming stale is playing another game. There is no way around it.
