  • Is your directx up to date?

I have DX12 already, my PC auto updates it.
  • Are you running SweetFX at all?
  • I'm on Windows 10 and never had any problems with crashes when playing this game, why is the game loading the Direct 3D 11 library from system32 when it has it's own version in the 'Binaries' folder !?

It's because he's running sweetFX. I had the same issue until I got rid of it. Problem solved.

Ugh. What exactly is this sweetFX thing? I have windows 10 and the ONLY outside graphic setting I have for tera is that I added FXAA directly from NVidia control panel, which does a much better job and using less resources than Tera's own AA setting. I've had no problems with freezes or crashes related to any of that.

Uhm. yeah. Looks like a nice thing to have, but Tera will indeed not like it much. You might want to use these on the games that run the most stable on your system.

SweetFX links to the d3d11 dll file in the windows folder despite the game not using it, the shader still needs to be able to reference it or it will throw the error. Windows 8.0 and up do not allow this to happen.

    ReShade doesn't have this problem.

So basically if you have Windows 8 or 10, no SweetFX for you?

    You have to use ReShade.

So trying to understand this software, which I have never used before. It's supposed to add visual effects to the game better than what the game itself can do, and using less resources? Is this what's it supposed to do?
  • I don't get why anyone would want to use these kinds of software on a game that is already poorly optimized!
  • NopiNopi ✭✭✭✭✭
That's a cool difference indeed. As for the game being poorly optimized, that part is sadly true, so people should have good judgement when adding stuff like this to their game.
