Looking for a class.
Okay, so. I used to play a MMO called DC Universe Online. I would heal. I began getting the reputation of the best known healer. I would log on, instant PM's asking me to solo heal raids, 4 player things etc. But, I had made a choice. I regretted it.But, it was a massive DPS. I love healing, but, I also love DPSing....Is there possibly a class that does both?...Thanks for reading!

Other than warrior and Berserker, Tera lacks role switch, so there really are not too many hybrid classes. While current mystic can do a good deal of DPS, it's role in a party is that of support. As a mystic you should be dealing with healing others, buffing them, and debuffing enemies. IF the party is good enough to not require much healing, then you can use a more dps approach. But most parties will need a healer to play their role.
Now, since in DCU you still need to farm for each set of gear, there wouldn't be much difference here in tera if you just created a second character, a DPS, and gear that alt with DPS gear while gearing your healer with healer gear. Leveling is extremely quick and easy so that wouldn't be much of a hassle to do. Plus, many players already have alts for farming since end game dungeons have limited entries per day.
As for a fast and furious DPS class that requires a high amount of skill to play, (far above the new classes) I'd say Warrior. It's a class that consists of many fast paced attacks, it has many evades, and it's overall a very flashy class. It also can be played as any race, in contrast to stuff like reaper, gunner, brawler or ninja, which are race and gender locked. Warrior can role switch to tank through it's Defense stance, or to DPS through his assault stance.
Your glyphs can also be made for dps instead of healing, but be aware you can't switch glyph nor gear sets while in combat.
I don't know how viable a mystic's dps is, but I do know both healers had buffs to their attacks on monsters and bosses recently. Also played with a full dps mystic once, and I healed the party on a priest.
Mystic is a good choice. As for my play time in DCU it was long ago when SOE was still the publisher. Nothing serious. I should still have a low tier controller character there if it wasn't already deleted by the game. Morality was good guys, mentored by Batman if I remember right.
But seriously if you want to be able to heal a lot and do some decent albeit not massive DPS, Mystic is the class for you.
Ohh, okay. I'm actually still a standing member of the 3rd best guild (League) on Heroes side. Take Notez. Love em' all. But, yea. I'm gonna make a mystic. Also, the character first and last name. Is that my on screen name? Or will I be able to choose another name?
As for me in DCU and here, I'm a derp. A super casual, so you won't find me in best anything. I just like to help around here. What I know is a mix of my time in game and because I like reading and getting info about things.
