The actual amount is closer to $12,000, to literally BUY your way through T1 till T10.

I'll work on that then, thanks :proud:

you need 1.500.000 points to get from tier 0 to tier 10

    and 1 emp = 1 points

    12k emp = 100 USD =12.000 points.

so you need 12.500 USD to get tier 10

if you buy that amount of emp you will also get 150.000 credits to spend in the store, enough for 3 mounts or 1darkan wing+1 mounts.

If you convert this emp to gold at 1:30 ratio you will have 45million gold.

since there is a 500USD daily limit (as far i remember), will take you 25days to get tier10

Well @Eiiji Some people have the money and resources to do it, otherwise we would not seen those news about gamers buying virtual items in Diablo III for over 50k dollars.

The Emporium was designed to reward those who decide to spend money on the game, and of course they would be supporting it. There is however room for a lot of improvement, since this system only rewards those who pay, and not those who are being loyal with their playtime.

Correction. It rewards those who are smart with their play time.

ihmo, 1k points for everyday of playtime in the account would be fair. because to get tier 10 by this logic would take you 4,1 years playing 24/7. 2 years just from t9 to 10 and 1year from t8 to t9

I agree with this, I play for almost 4 years but never bought emp, only bought elite when there was no vouchers, got only tier 4, this system is only for p2w players, they even reduced the points we get from vanguard dailies...

Just as a point of order, it wasn't reduced. For a while they had a "Double Vanguard" event that showed it as double Reward points, but it never actually worked properly (it gave half of what was shown). They corrected it to be double-rep and double-items, but not double-gold or double-reward points. And even before, there was still a daily per-character cap that didn't change.

Aside this, I do think they should increase the rewards you can earn in-game, and also ease the slope to get to level 10, as I think the whole system is unfair as is no matter what angle you're taking it from. (Even if it were a "p2w" system, the fact that Tier 9 to Tier 10 is the same as all of Tiers 1 through 9 combined is just awful...)

@Pixelator Perhaps i need to word myself better. I merely answered the question OP had. I did not took in count how you should get Reward points via play time or without spending any money in game.

By all means, if OP has the time to spend on gearing more than 2 or 4 characters, doing IoD dailies and the other quests that give Reward Points without spending a single dime in the game, he is more than welcome to do so, but since he said he can throw as much money at the game to get Tier 10, then that's what i answered.

It doesn't take the fact that climbing through the Emporium tiers is much faster buying emp, instead of doing every single day without fail, on every single character you have, dailies that provide reward points in order to be effective.

why would anyone spend that much on something virtual?
You sound like my parents. This is 2016, everything's going virtual. Who sends postcards? Who uses a landline phone? Who is printing out pictures on paper? Who writes a letter or sends a telefax? Who is printing out contracts or invoices and putting them in a hardcopy folder? Who has even CDs or hardcopy books?

Compared to my other hobbies, Tera still is one of the cheapest ones. You get to play all for free if you want. My last hobby was small firearms, which was uncompared expensive. Ammo, shooting range, monthly fee. Shooting a competition always went into 3-digits spendings per competition. Even my gym is~$85 a month.

Keep in mind that the "big whales" (MMO players that can spend somewhere in the the 4-digits area per month) are the most important customers that keep free games afloat. EU Tera (Gameforge) has recognized this years ago and is only/mainly focusing on these customers. I'm glad EME still looks to the F2P players and do events/stream-codes/social media-codes/whatever to give out free stuff.
