Agreed. Zerks are fine right now in terms of difficulties in playing the class tbh. But I can see why people stuggle so much, because BHS keep adding flat damage, one-shots, and high damage attacks in dungeon mechanics, so Zerker's block is becoming more and more useless-- so much for "a class that will face tank damage while returning high amount of damage"... which is basically Brawler.

    Update on Patch note:

    3 more bug fixes:

Fixed an issue where Rakelith’s curse was applied on summoned entities. (added)

Fixed an issue where Burning Heart could be used after using a different skill without putting it on cooldown. (this was apparently broken glitch. look at the gif posted in the bottom of the document.)

Fixed an issue where a certain status (specifically debuff according to players) was applied while casting Warp Barrier (apparently Warp barrier failed to nullify debuffs when the effect was active)
  • If that's all they're planning to do for the slayer revamp . . .
Hell, at the very least they should fix the hit box and desync issues on like 50% of the skills. You know, the issues that they ignored for YEARS.
  • Yeah, I would definitely say referring to a class buff as a "revamp" is quite deceptive. I assumed their "revamp" was going to be similar to the way they revamped Sorc, which of course, was more than just what a simple buff/nerf would be. I am quite disappointed if this is all that they intend to do. Both Zerk and Slayer need more love than that.

But I'll just sit in my corner and dream.

Completely agreed. The issue isn't really with the class itself but with the kinds of dungeons we're getting. You can't make the basis of your difficulty range be "how fast and how often can you iframe" and then expect a class with virtually 1 iframe to be very popular. Sure we have two rolls, but they share a cooldown so we can really only use one iframe every 5-6 seconds. Compare that to classes that have two consecutive rolls -- that alone is better than what zerk gets. If they just split up the cooldown, I think a lot of people wouldn't feel nearly as frustrated.

More damage isn't even... I don't know, damage is like the one thing I'm not upset about at the moment. What I'd love, in a perfect world, is maybe a larger HP pool, or a passive crit buff, or a separated cooldown on my dodge rolls, or if none of those things then a block that protects me against more than 38k, or dungeons with mechanics that can be survived by iframing OR by blocking perfectly. I'm aware that some people think blocking is a boring way to mitigate damage, but those people can play a slayer if they want to roll around all over the goddamned place. I picked a plate wearing block class because I wanted to be sturdy and block. Instead I'm hopping around all over the place with leaping strike, dashing around the map with overwhelm, and budgeting my one iframe like a single mom choosing between laundry detergent and cereal at the grocery store.

I guess the problem with tweaking iframes is that they have a huge impact in PvP balance, look at warp barrier's changes, the devs ended up reverting most of it. Other than that, the changes so far look really disappointing for berserkers and slayers...

Man, i always said to my friends when discussing zerker buffs. You either dont buff them at all, or you end up overbuffing them. Seems they went the no buff route instead.

They really made it sound like every class would be getting massive changes like sorc. I hope they're living up to that instead of just giving minor tweaks to all the other classes. I don't see how they expect other DPS to do more than brawler if they're only going to buff them by 10%, lol.

And if priest only gets minor tweaks, there's going to be an uproar about that too. Still waiting to see what they're going to do with the class. Doesn't look good going by the first "revamp" of classes after sorc. This can't even really be called a balance patch.

Do you guys REALLY want them to revamp slayer and berserker? What part of you actually thinks that they will do anything less than ruin them?!

And what's with them adjusting equalized earrings, but not adding THE MOST IMPORTANT THING to them?! Stun resistance!!!
  • EllieChuEllieChu ✭✭✭
    Think you meant stun reduction.

I dont want a class revamp, but i do want an actuall buff to the class

Reapers don't have enough I frames. Wakeup bhs, make whipsaw an iframe!

elite monsters are not monsters in hardmodes, you can have standard monsters in hard mode, as well as elite monsters in normal modes. an elite monster is essentially a boss monster that is too small to be a BAM, such as first boss in WH, darkan from SC, as well as many others.

Ah you are right. I just confirmed it too. I dunno what made me think that while translating. Good catch.

Oh man, there better be more than that. I've just been logging in to keep my buffs and get the daily rewards, that's it, while waiting to get the Zerker news. I was waiting for something akin to the Sorc stuff, but to get this...

Really though, just let us block stuff again and you'll be largely good to go. IMO, any given boss shouldn't have any more than one unblockable attack at most. I miss the days of REHM where I could block about everything. But now we have to use things meant to be attacks to pray we get out of the way in time, or ration our iframe. ._. I swear I spend as much time running away as I do attacking, if not more. Even just giving some super clear tell if something can be blocked or not would do wonders. Since I've found no pattern whatsoever.

At least it sounds like some of you are with me on at least some of these thoughts.

Tbh I could care less about the block. I'd be 100% happy and call the zerk revamped if we got some true crit glyphs, an infuriate and some way to gather up mobs. That's all the class honestly needs.
