warrior is both, but has to be geared for the role you choose so more than any other classes it can be expensive to try and do both since you'll have to have 2 sets of gear and different rolls on that gear as well as crystals and accessory set ups

A quick google search gave me no updated mystic guides. So from the limited knowledge of the class I have, most I can advise you is to learn how to manage the buffs you give to your party and the debuffs you give to bosses to help the party. Mystic's main buffs are called auras. You activate those and pretty much forget about them. They will take a bit of mana every second but it's minimal. Another thing you should learn is to give mana back to your party (In DCU ling it would be something like combining the healer and controller roles).

Biggest thing I can advise you is to read the descriptions on each skill. At least on mystic, they are not misleading (as they are on other classes)

Once you are comfortable with the healer side of mystic, then you can start practicing and gearing for dps.

Once I do a quick check on my mystic, I can tell you where the debuff comes from. Cuz I don't remember everything. :p

Alright! I will do that :) ALso, I can give mana back? :o I like that. I believe I will really enjoy mystic. I just need to sort my skills and such :) Also, is Warrior more DPS or Tank? (Asking on my Nephews behalf)

Depending on who plays it and who you ask, warrior can be a good dps or a decent tank. Warrior's easiest approach is dps. Tanking is very viable but needs a lot of skill and knowledge of the class.

a healer guide you can link me?

Well I saw your previous thread about looking for a class that can both heal and dps. Mystic is probably what you're looking for. As for a guide you can read through this http://www.essentialmana.com/mystic-guide-pve/ . Essentialmana is a Tera Fan site with a lot of good and updated information . That guide covers both the healing and DPS aspects of Mystic.

Alright, thanks :) As a Mystic, do I have a good set of healing skills? If not, I may switch to Priest, but. I would like to stick with my first character. Sorry for so many questions...

I'd say stay with Mystic. Mystics are arguably the best healer at the moment due to them being a bit overpowered from recent buffs.

Don't be sorry ! We're all here to help :)

Okay :) Thank you all so much! For reaching out and helping a noob learn their class :) Means a good bit. I know i'm a noob. And, I embrace it. Because, I know oneday I will be good :D

If you're into etching your gear as a Warrior, you may wish to consider two jewellery setups, one for rolling without a Mystic and one for rolling with a Mystic.

Without a Mystic: You don't have a boosted crit factor, so go all crit accessories to get you to ~320 total crit (for 100% Scythe crit rate).
With a Mystic: You get boosted up to ~320 crit factor, so you can roll mixed Crit and Power setup, because Scythe crits 100% after 320 total crit factor. Of course, you could go all crit and boost the crit chance of your other skills.

humm...warrior's? Well they can do both, but they not really hyper dps, think of them as more supportive constant dps with de-buffing capabilities for PVE party play. The supportive role is very important even though now everything seems to be about huge damage dealing. Tanking is more complex for us because...well there's slightly more capable tanks, more protection with higher damage, think brawlers.

The class is very demanding in skills but great fun, i'm biased though, i'm one.
  • And yes...don't think of your self as noob, ask and learn and you wont stay unschooled for very long.

Also, is there normal pvp? Like, with your chars? Not with the blue and red large babies?

    Yes there is normal PvP.

Corsair's Stronghold - 20v20 Storm/Breach the castle style gameplay. If you're on offensive side you need to invade their castle and destroy the anchorstone within a timeframe. After that you switch sides and now you're on defense and the other team has to destroy it faster then your team did.

Fraywind Canyon - 15v15 Domination style gameplay if you've ever played Call of Duty. Holding pyres and kills will contribute towards your teams score. First team to reach 5000 points wins.

    Champion's Skyring - 3v3 Arena (1 healer and 2 dps or 2 tanks)
(note that you need to be very skilled at your class and know what everyone else's class is capable of to excel here)

Gridiron - 15v15 chaos in a small arena.

All these are level 65 only

I really think i'll like Fraywind. I loved Domination on Advanced Warfare and Ghosts. But, alright :) So, its not gonna toss me into a pvp match at like 54. Good to know :) Also, is there DLCs for this game? Or no?

True. Funny enough. What started my passion for healing was on DC. I was doing a 4 player Alert. And I was in 97% DPS gear and 3% healer gear. I was lagging so damn badly. I actually only lose one guy, due to me not having Mana to heal. Ever since, I have loved healing. I went from, Scrub healer to one of the top 5 best healers on DC. :) I miss that garbage pay to play game LOL.

No dlc. f2p can access everything the game has to offer. In fact, the area know as north arun, which is what you will see after level 60, is an expansion.

Wow, they didn't lie. This game really is F2P from start to finish :) I have been looking for an MMO like this everywhere. Skyforge, Devilian, and a few others.

As I said, a full f2p player can even access the benefits of the subscription based system by buying Elite vouchers using in game gold. If you are good at making gold, you can potentially have absolutely everything, even subscription perks, that a paying player can have.

Wow, how much gold does it generally take?
  • NopiNopi ✭✭✭✭✭
i don't remember the prices but they are not that costly. As things go, a best in slot weapon will cost you very many times more in gold than a 30 day subscription voucher.
