TERA Login "Vortex" screen

So what's with the TERA "vortex" screen that appears now everytime you login the game? That was never there before and it takes time for it to pass. It's the same screen that appears when you change servers. This screen appears before reaching the character select screen.

Is there anyway to get rid of it? It's quite annoying.

Especially for players who are restarting their client, they have to wait extra time to get back in.

    Nope. No way to remove it and I personally have not seen any official response as to why everything takes that longer after patch. I can assume that they know.

    This "screen" was never there before. So I don't see why adding it. Bad enough its there when you take a pegasus or switch servers.

    Looks like they changed something with this patch. Instead of automatically logging in to your last server, the game will manually enter the server for you from the server selection screen. Why, i have no idea. Just makes loading times longer when booting up the game

    I can confirm this, I've been experiencing this behavior from the game client since this patch arrived.

    What I believe is that the game always did this, but before was so fast it just jumped screens. Now something slowed it down and it doesn't jump screens anymore.

    I'm getting this as well before it always when ever i change form main sever to other sever now i getting this every time i log in bit of a pain really hope they look into this and not permanent i dont mind it when changing to other sever but for login never there.

    The vortex is the tunnel when you enter a server. It's been there for as long as I've played the game.

    Exactly. When loading, logging and character pickup was fast enough, you didn't see any screens because the system was so fast it didn't need to add the vortex to use as loading screen. The game always needs to first to check what was the last server you played at, then enter that server to pick (and add the character assets behind the loading screens) to then show you all your characters. Now all of this is just slower so the game needs to show you what it was doing behind the scenes.

    Sadly, pretty much. i'm almost sure it's not EME's fault. Something just might have derped in the build they got from BHS.
