    So instead of deleting a few offtopic posts they close and bury the ONLY thread on the forums indicating users that a server merge is happening and where to go to vote for the new name?

    Yeah, it sucks that they closed it, where are we supposed to go to ask questions/discuss this matter? This is a pretty serious change across multiple servers. Get the word out a bit.

    Anyways, I came here because I have a concern regarding transfer of my characters. The thread said that Highwatch players would have "free transfer" to the new PvE server - which is something I sure as heck will do - but it doesn't specify much. I have 4 characters on Highwatch, but also one character on AV. What will happen when I transfer my characters, will I get to have my 4 characters in addition to my current AV character, therefore receive extra slots on the server to accommodate all of my characters?

    I really need to know. If some of my characters are going to be deleted or get stuck on that crappy PvP server (no offense, I just don't like PvP in MMORPGs) I'm going to be pretty furious.

    The details about the merger are supposed to be in mid-August, so probably that will be answered then. The insinuation so far is that you won't have extra slots on AV, but could buy them either on the broker or with EMP, but it hasn't been confirmed yet so should probably wait until the confirmation happens before doing anything about it.

    The thread served its purpose: To gather feedback from players about how the server merge should be handled. The way i see it, the most important feedback was taken from actual citizens of the servers that are gonna merge: Highwatch, Valley of Titans and Lake of Tears, and when i mean citizens, i mean, people who play in those servers as their main. Doesn't mean players from the other servers cannot give an opinion about it, after all, some people will consider to transfer from their current servers to the new one, so their feedback is also important. I refrained to post in that thread since i will be staying in TR and the merge will not affect me.

    No offense, but @vkobe and @Eiiji with all the due respect you both deserve, is no good that you both fight threads like this. It is more than likely that innocent threads will get nuked because of 2 forum users not getting along. Please be friends :awesome: :):):):):+1:

    Like all server merges, you have to buy your own character slots.

    Does that mean if I have 9 characters MAX allowed on one server but have 2 more on HW and VoT (so 4+9)... they won't let me play on four of them until I buy slots? Do they delete the characters? What about the names then?

    Well it would be a good point to clear that about people with characters on two or more of the servers being merged but they lack the slots to support all those characters in the new single server. It's not that player's fault that servers are being merged, and some, if not all those characters could have money spent on them. Real money. So what will happen to those players? Free transfers to somewhere else? Free slots to accommodate? So long as the answer is not something like "Buy slots against your will or chose which characters will be deleted."

    I recently made a character in HW and another in AV, just to see at least how the low level zones looked like, and I didn't see much difference in terms of population on the 1-20 zones. Velika also looked healthy on both servers as well. And I'm talking about a server that's going to be merged and another that will stay the same. Sure, I'd need to level up more and see how the end zones look like as well to have at least a grasp of the population situation.

    They've already said that you can keep all of your characters, you just can't make more until your character count is reduced to your slot amount.

    This also means that players who have 16 characters on all 3 servers will have 48 characters on the merged server, but will not be able to make more characters until they are back down to 15 characters (to have 1 available slot). So, in theory, they would have to delete or transfer 33 characters.

    Cool. That's nice info there. So long as people don't lose their characters since that would be like an extra slap in the face. For a few players, merges are not a benefit. I myself started tera on a server called Blightwood and really liked it there because it was low population. But they decided to merge and merge until there were only 3 servers, which again, by need apparently, became what we have now. And then we get yet another merge.
