    Well, I'm one of those people that consider it an emulator. Sure, you can make an argument that it's not the same, but it technically is.

    And in my experience, games in wine are never better.

    Wine is a completely rebuilding off windows code without looking at windows code. Even technically it's not even close to emulation. Games typically are not better unless they support openGL, at which point they will run better unless they need an un-supported version of .net. I just want dx10 and 11 support.

    Wine IS an emulation layer. I don't care what people try to say these days, or that they changed the acronym to try to make people think otherwise. It's still an emulator, and is still adding a layer of emulation, even if processes are run natively.

    But I'm not going to post about this further since it's off topic and pointless to discuss here anyways.
