ping 160-200

Hello everyone,
im new in this game and i'd like to ask what class with this ping can still be good in raids/dungeons im currently gunner lvl 35 and i thought its best cause you know ranged + heavy armor but i cant use burst fire because of that ping so i tried to find macro and looks like you can make one only with razer mouse if im correct but i cant afford to have mouse/keyboard from razer so looks like i can delete gunner now my question is simple then best class for 160-200ping for PVE thanks for answers

Sorry for bad english

Brawler, reaper or slayer seem to be the most ping friendly.
  • i thought best for high ping will be any ranged character looks like i was wrong i tried now something that could decreased my ping on tera but nah nothing looks like i cant get macro also so thats it for gunner i guess
  • I play with the same ping, I chose gunner as well. I don't macro burst fire, as it doesn't really seem to help in my case, obviously that means you'll be doing a lot less with bf than other gunners at 65. Nonetheless though, I've still cleared DSU 100+ times this season and last, plus doing any harder end-game content really isn't a chore since gunner just allows you to facetank almost everything being plate. The only thing that will limit you is your level of proficiency with the class itself, this goes for all classes though, obviously.

I can also recommend slayer though, since hardly any skills are ping dependent and the only thing you might notice there are the animation locks and chaining skills will be a slight bit sluggish. Other than that, the iframe is long as [filtered], backstab is really good once you get more used to the class and it's really fun overall imo.

Overall though with that ping I'd say stay away from classes like Lancer just because it's extremely dependent on how quickly you can react and block cancel/chain certain skills, which 200ping just won't let you do as well as you might need to in the hardest content, it's doable, but the effort required will be much higher.

There's a [filtered] ton to add onto this and the few examples I mentioned are just what I've experienced on the same ping, but obviously there's more to it. Honestly it's just up to you in the end as to what you like to play, since you won't be min-maxing or anything until you're very well versed in your class, but this might help you out still.

I've posted this somewhere before but I'll say it here again.

To use burst fire faster with high ping, just alternate pressing burst fire and a directional key (W/A/S/D) in rapid succession. You'll force the game to register your burst fire button presses and make it shoot faster compared to just holding down the burst fire key.
  • Archers are not OK with a high ping, so avoid them.
  • Avoid Reaper / Lancer / Gunner / Archer and war maybe, the rest is okay with that ping, maybe zerk or slayer could be ping friendly Also healers, even if iframing can become tricky on some bosses
