Which server are you going to after the merge?

Heyo, I was just curious, what server is everyone more interested in going to after the merge? Are you going to be staying on the LoT/VoT/HW megaserver, or are you going to be transferring to AV? And why?

Here's a poll:

(I hope I can put polls here ;_;)

  • Hello
I'll definitely on AV switch because I never want to play PVP. so I had decided for a PVE server.
However EME would be well advised when they finally explain times when the opportunity given to change.
  • I'll be staying. All the important areas to go to are protected and PvP would be optional.
  • i voted tbh "i have no clue" not like i hate pvp or etc, i like both pve and pvp so *shrug*
  • Staying on new server ,and also , a new mega server , i think it would be little smaller then AV :P

Frankly I'll be staying, I suck at PvP and that's the main reason I'm more of a PvE guy despite being in LoT, but I've always like the idea of taking part in random brawls wihtout having to enter a deathmatch... If only there still was any OWPvP at all xD

pvp will be optional only if you don't need at all to go to the open world as a level 65. If you are into stuff like world boss hunting or if an event makes people go into open world, any outlaw can pvp you there. Now, these are very specific scenarios so most people won't even be in this situation so in reality, their transferring will be saving them from nothing because they wouldn't be into the pvp line of fire by doing what they were doing before.

completely wrong, safe areas are camps and cities, and ofc IoD go out to do a gathering quest, killing quest or farm materials and get pked by lowlifers (nolifers), protected areas are only for those who level, once you are 65....good luck
and yes i will be moving from vot to AV as well and since uguua asked aslo why, becuase i have a character on 6 servers (except CH) pve servers are more friendly and pvp is simple toxic community without a normal group to even do some harder dungeons (vot) and then when those traps with pvp rolls enter your dungeon and do zero dps...good luck, lot has at least some people that can do sshm, vot doesnt, vot will not contribute to lot at all they will just want to be carried through those dungeons and most hw will go to av, so what eijii said he is right, in a few months it will be another almost dead server or half dead since people will be going 1 by 1

I guess PvP guys in LoT are kinda different in that sense, you no longer see outlaws hunting random people out there, at most there are outlaws from certain guilds PK'ing guys from rival guilds (whether there's an ongoing GvG battle or not).

    EDIT:

On a side note, for quite a while it's been said that many guys who were depised in the other servers moved to HW when it opened, I guess the mere possibility of being in a server where people can actually beat the cr*p out of them if they start harassing someone will make them flock to AV now...

Thought IoD was also a safe area? The place even has the three types of top tier gather materials (plants, energy, rocks) to safely farm. So that leaves the gathering and mob kill vanguards as possible ganker ambush spots (and as I mentioned before, events and world bosses). Also remember the usually trollish ganked the lowest leveled players they could find, so even a pve at 65 will take them more time to kill unless they have managed to find a way to one shot pve 65s on a whim.

But the part about people leaving and killing the server, we will see how it turns out. I won't play my cards now by saying it will become either a dead server or a thriving one just yet. When the merger happens, there will be a setting up time, where those who want to leave move on, those curious to make alts in the server will make them (I think I may see some MT people trying this just out of curiosity), and those who stay begin to adapt. After that, one can say which direction the server will take.

I guess I'll just have to step into tera's vast instanced and empty world and have someone find me never.

I will most definitely be staying on the new server. I've been in LoT since the beginning, and strongly believe that the server would've had a better population if the free transfers blunder (and Highwatch) hadn't happened. A lot of people left server because it was losing people, so it's like a domino line; if one person leaves, others will follow, and so on. Now that the merge is happening, I am pretty sure it will be able to maintain itself. All 3 servers have competent players, so putting them together will bring more activity. And hey, if you were tired of Highwatch, VoT, or LoT, but it was too much to transfer all your characters, now you will be able to do it for free. Everyone can rejoice.

wow, that is completely different from VoT, now i actually regret ever coming to VoT, outlaws only going after rival guilds sounds ok, but on VoT they turn outlaw and eve pk lower levels, you can see people with thousands of infamy, that is so sad...cheers for LoT
  • I might give it a go just to change it up and see how the new sever will be. Who know a fresh start might be nice.
  • I'll wait a bit to see if I get pk'ed. If I do, I'm moving.

Tempted to transfer my MT chars back into the new server like how I did when Highwatch first came.

And maybe drag some people back as well.
