Imperator +15 is impossible for an casual player

i'm not talking about the mats u need to grind (vengeance versa is an [filtered] to acquire though) but i just found out the amount of feedstock and mwa u need for each try. For an casual player like who only can play 2 hours a day it's impossible to grind so much gold or mats.
By the time i get enough mats or gold to have and decent shot, tier 15 gear will be coming out

1.After reading some comments i'm glad some people try or do understand where i'm coming from, some people do tend do misunderstand the fact that not everyone can play more than 6 hours on multiple alts and still have fun. in my case i just don't have time for playing so much because of real life responsibilities.
i'm not ranting at the fact an casual player can't get the gear which is intended for the hardcore playerbase or the association of whales.
But just i realized today that the dungeons i did for the imp mats were a bit in vain and i just felt quite disheartened by it. :(

2.After reading the new comments i find myself quite not shocked really but bad, some people are reacting like i'm beggar asking for free stuff or are just oblivious to the fact why i made this post in the first place. I just realized something about the game i've been playing for quite an long time and wanted to hear how other players think about it but there are quite alot of people feeling butthurt for some reason.(this is the impression i'm getting). i never said anything about changing anything or something btw. i'm just dissapointed i geuss that few people still checking the forums can't write anything decent but just need to vent their frustations on random people who are playing the same game as them.

Probably this but it does kinda suck though, one of the main things about an mmorpg is gearing.
But if i'm playing an game where gearing is only for the people who play on 16 alts and have alot of time/money.
It kinda sucks to know the limit an player like me can get is starfall which is soon going to be considered weak.

    Seriously?

If you think 2hrs a day is "Casual" for any kind of MMO.
Your not going to get very far.
  • S: you can make do just fine with the mid tier sets - imperator +15 is kind of an over kill atm. You can, ofc, also just farm mats slowly at your own pace and not rush end game content as a super casual player with limited play time x3

Thanks for answering me like i'm an normal human and not some ignorant ape who is crying on the forums ^^
  • Personally, I don't think +15 worth it, unless you are very addict to the game or very p2w.
I prefer have mid tier gear and use my extra gold to buy costumes.

Now don't get me wrong. Nothing wrong with the "Casual" Gamer.
Being Casual doesn't mean you can't clear content, Or that you do not know what your doing.
But it's going to take you a lot longer then your Core gamer / Professional gamer.

In those 2hrs of game-play what are you doing?
Are you standing around expecting stuff to be handed to you or are you actually working for it?

We can't answer that for you.
Depending on your group, You could easily clear DSU or SSHM 2-4x in 2hours.

All you can do is collect materials, And when you have enough, you have enough.

As for enchanting. That's the fun part of the gearing process.

2 hours each day considering you are good at your class and run end game with a static or make your own pass runs.

20mins per SSHM = 1-2 versa + 1 self boiling okbma - run that 6 times and you are already halfway there
10-20mins SSNM = 2 okbmas run if you don't have the required amount
DFHM = 4-5 barks = 15-20 mins - run that 6-8 times and you get already 24-32 barks which is enough for a weapon
    DSU= 45-mins-1hour = 400mwa + design gold for your feedstock buying needs
DSL= 20mins = all 3 mats but that will take you 20 runs to get all the stuff

2 hours each day, pick one task a day and there you go .
  • No matter what people say you don't need +15 gear, +12 mid tier gear is good enough for pretty much all the content. +15 is a luxury and just allows you to clear things quicker no more no less.

Things I believe are not for casuals:

Full class mastering (unless you are a true genius who can master your class with minimal effort)

BiS gear +15 (even fully enchanted mid tier gear may be difficult if you are ultra casual as in 1 hour of play every few days, but most casuals can get mid tier +12, only not enchanted in a day or even a week)

Perfect rolls (settle for good enough)

    Top HM dungeons like DSU

    Speed runs

    Being in the charts

    Top level pvp

All of these things and maybe a few more are better left for the hardcores, the tryhards and maybe the ultra lucky. We still have all of the level up game, the NM dungeons, some HM, and stuff like SSHM for those rare casuals who happen to be naturally talented. Again. This is my opinion as a current 1 hour every few days ultra casual. :3

I also define casual as the laid back type of player who wants just a little taste of gaming. Not someone who's a tryhard or wants to be hardcore but has very limited time.
  • Also, I understand your point of view. You think all players should have end tier gear, because it's the most important thing im a mmo.
However, despite the pw2 aspect of +15, this feature is made to entertainment of hardcore players. You see, a big game like mmo have to entertain various kind of players. Like: lonely wolves(solo content), pvp or pve server, pvp and pve content, HM and NM dungeons, many races and classes and so on.
  • Getting full +15 latest VM equipment for the current content is a daunting task regardless of whether you're casual or not.

To be honest, with how this game handles gear by obsoleting previous item sets and with the extremely lopsided effort/return ratio of awakening enchanting / rerolling gear bonuses / etching... I would recommend against aiming for such goals, even for hardcore players.

You can clear most of the content in the game with mid-tier gear or with a mix of previous/current BiS items where one to two parts at +15 where it matters the most. That's viable for folks who can't play the game like a job.

If you only play two hours a day and intend to go +15 Imperator, by all means go ahead. As you realized, there incongruency between the feasibility of this reaching goal in a timely fashion and how much you are able to put in to reach it. However, there is no time limit and you must have noticed that a lot of players go for the previous VM during the current content cycle, as such there should be no shame in finishing your VM7 in the upcoming era of VM8 just as there are many players completing their VM6 sets while VM7 is the newest fashion right now.
