But wouldn't this be considered p2win?

    Just saying! (don't mind me)

No because it can also be obtained (albeit much slower) through playing normally. EME was smart enough to make those points available for f2p as well.

True, But what's the ETA to get from Tier 1 to Tier 10 without spending a dime?

you need 1.500.000 points from 0 to 10

    IoD quests gives 120points for t3 , 90 for t2 and 60 for t3

Once character doing IoD can get (120x3+90x3+60x2)= 630 points a day

this mean with 16 characters you will get 10.080 a day per server. (128 quests)

    So 1.500.000/10.080= 148 days.

But if you consider just doing the same ammount of quests but just t3 across 3 servers(144 quests) (tera rewards is account wide) you will make

    =120 x 3 x 16 x 3 =17.280 a day.

that will be a total of 86 days to get tier 10

Ps. will that 75/43 days for tier 9 and 38/22 days for tier 8

T10 is not even needed. I know I know, an extra +1% to enchant and a free summon Phargo (at T9) compared to T6, which seems to be what most are aiming for, but still, these rewards are not something you do extra to your gaming. You get these from doing what you were doing before. Also consider when the game was p2p we didn't have these nor Elite perks. Tera's p2p era felt like playing the current f2p game but with more bank and character slots and (for the topic) a much more restrictive enchanting system. Pretty much everything else was the same as current f2p.

Not going to argue that it's not even needed.
Not going to argue that you can get it for doing what you normally would do.

I've been around for quite some time (2013)
And when this Emporium reward system was implemented, 2 of my accounts dinged T8.
Know how much money I've spent since i started playing? O.o

Just stating, That with $ you get there quicker, A lot quicker

It's just the way of things.

    @Ketoth <3

    Let's put it like this.
I like to try my RNG luck on boxes.
I got a ton of costumes on multiple characters :p

Suppose someone nolifes and grinds IoD dailies on 16 Brawlers (taking 30 min each char, 8 hours total). You get 750 reward points per character = 12000 per day. Tier 10 rewards requires 1.5mil points which equals 125 days, or about 4 months.

Fun fact: said person would also be making close to half a mil's worth in mats per day at the beginning of the secrets and shadows patch.

(It's ridiculously broken. Makes TAR look like a waste of time.)

Edit: lol Ketoth got to it first.

Oh, yes. it's all pay to convenience and pay to speed up. Nobody can deny that. And to some extent, could be also called p2w, if you can't spend enough time in the game, or if you know you will get bored of the game before anything meaningful happens to your account unless you open your wallet. I must also make it clear, I'm not trying to defend anyone. I just mentioned EME was clever to release the opportunity to everyone so they are not called plain p2w by the 100% of the community. As right now there are still quite a few calling Tera a p2w game, and depending on which way you look at it, they may be right. Then again, by that same viewpoint, most mmos out there, if not all of them, are p2w. But that's thread for another thread. :3

You people arguing about Tera Loyalty enchantment bonus as if it matters, yet none of you have a clue of whether it is additive or multiplicative, as does nobody on tera except select few in eme who have never clarified.

It doesn't matter if it's additive, multiplicative, derpive, or whateverive. The thing is that it's there and people who are not T10 will want to be T10 and have it, even if it's the greatest or the lamest bonus ever made in gaming history or somewhere in between. Because people wanna have it to have it and say they have it. Got it? <.<

It most definitely does matter. It's a matter of people arguing over double the enchantment rate or less than a hundredth of a percent increase. Suddenly tell them it is multiplicative (.09% increase, assuming awakening is 3% as estimated), and you'll never see anyone with a brain bring up the loyalty argument ever again.

Probably is. >.< I'm Tier 7 and I don't see any changes in my enchant RNG. I still need to toss 2k feeds on a stubborn mid tier piece while others get +11 and +12 in two attempts. Exactly the same shenanigans I've seen since before that stuff was added. So yeah. While only devs can really tell, AT LEAST in my personal experience I've seen no enchant boost to my attempts at all.
