Please change how looting works in instances

I no longer do channelworks, due to the poor implementation of looting.

  • As soon as the final boss dies, if the other two players don't see loot for them (or don't need it) they drop group and I am teleported out without any of the drops that I could have used. While this also happens in other instances, it is prevalent in Channelworks due to the low # of players. I would like to see it changed to where you don't teleport out if there is loot to be rolled. Also, once someone drops group, their roll should no longer be necessary, thus avoiding the long delays waiting for the timer to finish.

    if you were one of the last two people inside when the party disbands, you can reloot the items and it will autoroll them between you and the other person, or only for you/them if it's something for their class.

    i have never been in a party where people /drop as soon as the drops hit the floor in several hundred cw runs (most of them through ims), meaning you should have more than enough time to loot everything while people are picking up their sbs/mes.
  • Everything is already looted. Before the rolls happen, they drop, I am booted out and nothing is ever gained.

  • It is an issue. If you're typing when the other two people drop you can't even re-loot it. If the second to last person doesn't like your roll then they can just drop and press F to automatically reroll for the both of you, often negating your winning roll. If you don't get to the items fast enough when the second person drops for whatever reason, then it rots in the closed instance.

    Very true. If everyone drops from the group, You are teleported out immediately without the abilities to loot "said items"
    I've lost out on items due to this before.

    We are talking about CW here. CW only Drops dreadnaught and some minor other stuff. The best you can get is some spellbinds. You are running the easiest dungeon for fresh lvl 65 and everyone else usually has everything from there. People run it for vanguard dailies or for Events.

    Being teleported out of the dungeon is no bug but a very comfortable design of running the dungeon. It enables you to Level, farm, doing vanguard, whatever and entering the dungeon from everywhere. Upon finishing the dungeon, you are free to choose the use the teleportal to be set to the dungeon entry or being comfortably teleported back to your old starting Point. I dont think anyone here would like to have this System changed.

    As mentioned, you have to tell People to stay as you want to loot. As you apparently ran CW before, why didnt you ask them to stay?. It's a common Habit to drop CW as soon as your vanguard daily is completed.

    Also someone already mentioned that the loot mechanism no longer waits for the dropped Player to roll (excluding the current roll). There's nothing to Change about this. But you said that you no longer will run CW, so everything's solved.
