ITT: PVP players ridiculing PVE players (whether informed or not)

It's certainly making a great case for this merger. B)

What I want to know is: are there any DSU groups in VoT/LoT? Because albeit low, HW only has 2 and could use more.

We aren't ridiculing PvE players, more so calling out how uninformed BOTH parties are and that the reaction to suddenly change servers is uncalled for. We do have at least two DSU groups that I know of on LoT, I can't speak for VoT. I'd run DSU if I had a party too, but I don't really have friends that want to/need to. I was hoping the merge would swap that up for me... But it seems like a lot of people are hopping off the merge train before it even starts moving haha

I agree, the overreaction is kind of stupid from both sides and they do need to be informed. I, and other people in HW honestly don't have many issues with OWPVP - its just the vocal minority here that's making a case for "LUL HW SO SCARED" which is a rather lame misrepresentation of the server.

So I guess endgame PVE players don't stand to gain much from this merge. Especially since the group PaulisAwesome has mentioned that seldom runs anymore (that I'm a part of) has plans to go AV.

Now that I think about it, this merge probably isn't meant to fix our population of endgame dungeon runners (While it will increase that group slightly). However the merge will help people LFG'ing the mid tier dungeons... which will lead to more geared players who can attempt end game dungeons. Maybe? Idk my brain isn't working rn

    Mostly this.
However Unless LoT/VoT has mostly all of their population wanting to run top tier dungeons(sshm/DSU). Then it'll be just like highwatch is now, Every day running mid/high tier dungeons(dfnm/dfhm/abhm/wh/ssnm).

Thus why I will be leaving. It's not the PvP65. It's not because i'm scared like people in global say. It's simply I enjoy being a top tier player. I can't do that on HW anymore.

You can't use current PvP servers as a reference, because with 65 only PKing, you will see a lot more PKers in the level 65 questing areas than ever before!

All the PKers that would normally go to other zones, will flock to the level 65 vanguard quest areas.

This statement is wrong. It's rare for people to pk level 65's. There are no hunting brigades in Lake Of Tears. Stop stereotyping something you have no no idea about.

Yeah your goals more align with a larger / more veteran server like TR AV and that's fine. You've made your mind. Some people want to stay for their own reasons, so it just comes down to personal choice.

Back on OP's topic, I would suggest giving the new server a shot but also take it with a grain of salt because how the server is during the first few weeks *will not* be how the server is a year from now.

Exactly why some groups are leaving - it's basically HW all over again with people gaining +15 gear and settling for running DFHM, DFNM, DSL and never anything remotely challenging. Nothing to gain really unless I want to run those mid-tier dungeons all day.
  • When they created the Highwatch server, people who did not want the slightest possibility of PvP moved over there. Whether to enable PvP, I think EVERYONE in Highwatch should transfer to Ascencion Valley.

Whoever remains PvP. Who does not want transfer to the AV

    That simple.

It's not that simple. Many players in highwatch STARTED on highwatch.
Telling them (myself included as I hate pvp) to evacuate and move to AV, abandoning our identities, names, memories and sentimental attachments here in highwatch, is not "That simple."

sorry to say that to you, but highwatch will no longer existed at september, so you can prepare to mourning highwatch

I understand about the identities, names and all things, i feel the same, for 2 year i had played in VoT.

But that servers HW, LoT, VoT will be removed. Looking from this point of view, i said "That simple". EME is forcing ppls to be in a PvP server (i know 65PvP), let make this merged server to be a desert, all PvE players move to AV =D

Only the name of the server will cease to exist.

How about we all stay on the server since a very large percentage of us will not be subject to world pvp and it's not like what most of you guys think it will be. If you think you're going to be looking over your shoulder everywhere you go, you are sadly mistaken.
  • If any of you from the PvE server wish to know what owpvp servers are like make a new charbon MT. I went there and only had 2 people try to PK me. Too bad I just roflstomped them but it was fun. This was pre 65 btw. Some people will challenge you most don't give a damn.

The outskirts is where [filtered] can get nasty.
  • Give it a chance (At least a few days, the transfers have been said to last a week).

Literally in the first post. While it's entertaining for me to read you guys arguing, I'd like remind you guys that there is a transfer period.
You can try out the server first before choosing to transfer. Speculating on OWPvP seems kind of pointless at this point.
