the problem is most of people don't want +12 to endgame dungeon or some pvp contents.

the gab btw +12 and +15 is just too much for some class. For ex. my +15 weap/ gloves ninja does 2x more dps than +12 ninja most of time.

and still, people post dps result after killing each boss.

for casual player, maybe buying and selling cash item is only option or just forget about a few contents and enjoy game with +12.
  • I am not so fond of what BHS does each 6 months to gears and dungeon. They make hours of grinding and much golds worthless, I get the upgrades and changes, they are necessary of coarse, but remember those gear upgrades just makes your etch, dyad crystals useless also. and that is not acceptable by me. You can dismantle a gear but what can you do for dyads and etches? I had full Disco set for my alts with etches and dyads. What happened? late game process is not healthy, that is why Tera can't keep players playing it. EME makes things interesting but BHS [filtered] sucks at it.

The gearing rat race is how BHS drives the carrot on the stick. It's a really [filtered] way to entice players to gear up since they stopped using the Arunic/Shara enchantment transfers as well as stopped using previous VM as necessity for next VM after VM3. I like playing for keeps, but since BHS is doing everything to avoid raising level cap, increasing glyphs or to work on the talent system since it doesn't drive the cash shop demand for alkahest/spellbind/additives I am always having second thoughts of going through the pain of regearing to the next +15 VM to remain relevant as a player.
  • Isn't 15 gear only for PvP?
  • it's sad how many people misunderstood my intentions with this post T_T

What is your intention? Make VM gear +15 easily obtainable for anyone?

Thing is that obtaining +15 VM isnt that hard. I also spend few hours playing and it took me 3 months to get myself +15 weapon with my own efforts. Even if I did borrow some extra 3000+ feedstocks and MWAs from guildies and friends, I paid them back within 2 weeks.

What are you really doing in game so that you can work yourself up to obtaining one, and wht should you, or other people in general wanting a VM piece, deserve them?

I've obtained mine through hard work and my own investments. Don't get me wrong, i dont care if you get yourself a VM piece somehow, but keep in mind that on top of grinding, you have to face RNG to +15.

Getting gear easily is absolutely disgusting. KTERA got free Starfall +12 back in february just by playing effortless 100hours at internet cafe, but they still QQ'd about how they couldnt +15, and how the gears were literally worthless compared to Slaughter unless it was +15. There were several cases where people DID NOT ACCECPT anyone with VM pieces if it was not +15. Not even +14. Same thing is going on right now with VM8 +12.

Even NA, without those events, it is disheartening to see people who just fails miserably in dungeons or has no clue what to do with +15 Imperator equipped. It puts terrible impressions on you. Trust me, i've seen people unable to survive DFNM in full +15 gear.
  • It's why I tell people all the time just to be happy you can even craft imp without clearing SSHM.
I miss the quill days and VM1 where if you couldn't clear MCHM(or pay handsomely for the clear) then you didn't craft VM gear. I've always felt that the quill element(or what is it versa this patch) should only be obtainable in the hard mode dungeon...Not DSL..Not Sea chests..Not Treasure chests..but granted this worked alot better with the split pve/pvp gearline.

I'd understand you doing double the damage of a +12 Slaughter ninja if the +12 Slaughter player either doesn't have good rolls, no etchings, no BiS inners, no brooch and lower player skill. In fact, given the exact same character with exact same gear and rolls, a god tier player can and will do more than double the dps of a bad player. Maybe as much as 4X damage. Sure, I'm comparing extremes, though, but the difference between gear that's similarly taken care of shouldn't be THAT big if both players play well and know how to maximize the gear they have. Sure I could be wrong. But as a decent rolled +12 Slaughter ninja, I've out performed ninjas with better gear. Sometimes by a large margin if I'm lucky and I'm not forced into moving too much.

The thing is, that people with +15, since they already have the top gear they want to have, also buff it further with perfect rolls, top etchings, and also usually go for top inners and brooch, so the dps gap does indeed increase with those little additions that the guy in mid tier will probably didn't go the length to farm for.

Now, there's reasons why people in mid tier gear are not picked in LFGs often. First. If the player turns out to be a trap, he will still do a bit more damage in +15 top tier than at +12 mid tier, even if he's a total floor mat that does a single attack or just spams auto. Second, even though there are people who were carried into +15 and skilled tag in all top dungeons, more likely than not, the +15 you are inspecting earned those tags and his gear himself, whereas a mid tier guy didn't show enough commitment to push himself further to try and get +15 as so many have done before. I've seen a lot more players in +15, mostly mixes of SF and SL, than people going for full SL.

And these are all my beliefs as to why +15 is indeed pretty required for top content. It's not the content that needs it. It's the players you play with that need it.
  • To any and all Casual players..

Why are you playing a Korean MMORPG they're generally a grind fest, you're only alternative....sell Emp for gold or sell of your VG crefs.

I just realized something about the game i've been playing for quite an long time and wanted to hear how other players think about it, In my post i even said twice that this isn't about changing anything but i just wanted to hear people's opinion.

The question is why do you force an end-game game which is supposed to not be catered to the average casual to a casual player.

Aside from my Tensus (for obvious reasons), I have never built a single VM gear to +15 just because you save effort. Previous VM vs our midtier is only that bit of a difference, not double if you actually play properly.

I have seen enough traps with +15 gear in both ends (PvE and PvP) that is bought straight from the broker.

My opinion is this: Make crafting harder by putting materials in higher skillcap dungeons, Make it untradable, make enchanting easier.

It feels more tiring to have a halfcomplete gear dangling in your face compared to seeing yourself getting closer to the gear. With the latter, at least you feel the urge to continue farming for the materials, while for the former, you are usually just grinding ezmode stuff just for the feed. Making it untradable meant that traps will not end up feeding despite having a wing weapon, and people will actually learn the game to get the gear they deserve.

By making the gear easier to get, you are just giving false hope to newer players.

Samael: "Kids these days, no sense of proportion!"

You made the exact same post on reddit and got the same responses, then tried to wiggle your way out by editing it just like you did here.

It took you this long to realize that obtaining top-tier is not possible for those who are not playing at the top-tier. Furthermore you are depressed by this obvious realization instead 'oh of course!'

Then there's your indignant attitude toward everyone pointing out the above to you and blindness to all the helpful advice that would indicate to you that your conclusion is not as bleak as it seems just screams 'I still want the best gear even though there's no way I can possibly put in the time and effort for it!!!!111one'

You should not be surprised by how your approach to this discussion is being received by others but then again you couldn't figure out that hardcore goals do not align with casual commitment.

While I agree completely with you, I assume the reason why VM is tradeable is because whales who buy them bring money to the company. Just an assumption, but sounds logical to me, since the price of VM on the market means the whale needs to pay a high price in real money to exchange.
