I have a low level character and was seeking a challenge, and not just any challenge. I'm thinking of heading over to the island of dawn to see if i can solo bams at an incredibly low level (around level 20 or so) do you think this would be possible? If so, what class do you think has the best chance?

    Its possible, but the way this game scale on the lvling damage, would take you more than 2hr to kill one.

    Also. if the bam decide to use trample you are dead.

    Choosing ninja or warrior is the easiest path.

    Highest Character i had was a level 57 amani male zerker (Until someone deleted it as a joke :'c) i just dont know if anyone has tried a gap this big before and im curious if its even possible at such a low level with a limited skill pool

    the problem it is low skill and low gear, so because low skill and low weapon you will unable to hurt them and one mistake and they one shoot you and you dont have all your skill at low level

    I tried something similar some time ago, but wasn't with bams, it was with a level 58 mob on my level 1X character. The mob basically received no damage. It's like a level 10 mob trying to hit a level 65 player, you see in the combat log that you take like 0 or 1 damage.

    So technically it is possible, as mentioned by someone but will take you 2 hour or more... not to mention that the longer the fight last, your stamina is going to drop, making your charms less effective, also decreasing your damage and defense.

    If you want a good warmup, try the zulfikar fortress argon bams and the molochs at around level 54-56. They hit rather hard and their HP wasn't as nerfed as that of other bams. Of all the types of bams in that area, the moloch may be the most random. You may get an easy fight or a very difficult one. Another thing you could warm up with is to fight common bams at least 10-15 levels above you without avatar weapons.

    As for other difficult to fight bams, try any dracoloth. And I don't mean the ones that look more like dragons. I mean the ones that stand straight and have very random attacks. Those things can be tricky even for ninjas and brawlers.

    It's fun the amount of "why are you being stupid"-related comment you're getting, all tainted with judgmental condescension ... I wouldn't go for a DPS class if you're set with being level 20-ish; your only gonna do 0 damage to IoD's BAMs (but then again, I am not sure if you're actually hitting higher than 0. It could very well be that it displays a 0 but in fact is a 0.0001 damage, which then would make it possible [and long !]).
    Mystic/Archer, Warrior, these are the best ones in my opinion (in order), simply because I think you wanna poison and kite, simple as that. Like someone said, be wary of trample-one shot, and you're set !

    Edit: right I forgot, Sorcerers do have a poison too, but you won't have a good uptime on it because of the high CD.

    Probably did you a favor by deleting that char. Zerkers suck. I have one of every class and that's one of the worst I have.

    Most players playing zerker suck, so the class gets a bad reputation, and judging by what you say you probably weren't very experienced with it either. A good zerker player is pretty amazing.

    As I rarely mention, doing low level stuff can be very much fun. Having your friends all lvl 20 and trying to tackle a lvl 35 instance is harder than any lvl65 starting dungeon (CW, KC, etc.).

    I've tried it once as a priest and as mentioned, the problem is the stamina dropping. I was fighting some 2h and you really get worn out as you start to make small mistakes and the reaction time goes up. On the other hand, you get to be a real expert for the attacks and movement pattern of this BAM. You also have to watch that you don't go out of range or the BAM will reset. For this, I put a campfire on the original spot, but it goes out after some 10 (?) min.

    Nota: I did not fight a IoD BAM with lvl 20. Cant remember which level span I fought.
