Master professions

It is difficult enough to make it to Master Crafter (in given profession), but to get there, and there be absolutely no recipes to purchase is ridiculous! To find them on the Trade Broker, pricing, if they are even available is painful after spending everything on hard to get items OR, heaven forbid, an item that must be made by another artisan crafter!! Is anything planned at all, to make hitting the master level worth while? I was hoping to get some recipes that would make my guild mates more efficient (i.e. a better heals, etc). I chose alchemy for this reason, and even bought elite status because of it, but it hardly seems worthwhile to keep it.

One of many frustrated crafters,
Eolanthe

    You kinda chose the worst one since next patch alchemy gets butchered till the point of no longer having a use. You're better off farming rootstock right now for food buffs and massively hoard those to help others by getting yellow rarity food buffs. (mainly traditional bleakfields bbq) Etching will follow after alchemy so ..is it worth? No. Not worth as far as i can tell, maybe to refine and sell materials for some but if you are up-to-date with next patch's info, you'd have known alchemy is a lost cause.

    as for better heals, heart potions only need 500 crafting for the best ones, that or you go make like i said, the food buffs that apply to everyone in your raid/party;

    Professions on the whole seem obsolete atm which sucks because almost everyone neglects them although they're actually really good, tera itself just forgot about it and don't really drop special crafting stuff anymore except 2 expensive stuff like brooches / gear / but nothing else like potions scrolls or anything at higher crafting levels, it can do with a rework but i wont get my hopes up for it.

  • Lisanne, To be fair, I have been doing the alchemy for more than a year, it took a while, because I'm not a power player and leveling a profession is limited to character level. That said, I will stick to the level 65 artisan stuff, and not worry about any of the other. Seems a sad thing that they are jacking the crafters so badly :(

    I feel you, bro. I went into weaponcrafting because my dream was to make weapons for my friends and guildmates. I didn't want to do content; I just wanted to be that blacksmith guy behind the scenes empowering his friends with mighty weapons. Instead the game made it super easy to get weapons from dungeons, and crafting VM takes no mastery at all. Stupid. So stupid.
  • Crafting is very very, very fudged right now.

    heart potion no longe usable in GvG pacht, like all potions from alchemist
  • Thanks Steven!
  • I agree! I recently went through all the crafts to Master, and most of them are ridiculous. I was having to spend 1000's in gold to make items that sold for 20 gold. In some cases you just can't even get the materials any more. The entire crafting system needs a revamp.
