Sorc revamp PvP damage testing before tweaks

I found this video of Sorc revamp PvP damage testing before tweaks.

After the balancing tweaks were added to Sorc skills, hopefully the PvP damage increase towards Meteor, Void Pulse, and Flame Pillar is at least a 20%-25%.

It seems excessive, but the new overchannel, aside from the additional buff speed, only increases damage towards monsters. This is a huge loss in our two hardest hitting skills.

Overchannel for Flame Barrage and Nova was great to have when it would reset and added with Backstep glyph. I'm fine with not having access to 25% increase on those skills anymore, even though it helped quite a lot in needed times.

I also hope that the damage nerf on Lightning Bolt didn't affect the PvP damage. It's understandable for PvE that 15% isn't too much for DPS balancing purposes, but for PvP, that's quite hefty.

Regardless, the damage done by that Sorc in the video is very disheartening. He/She seems to be using:

+12 Imperator Disc with PvE rolls(9.3%,9.3%,6%,6.9%,7.2%), semi full power build with charms/crit scroll/bravery.

I'm not sure what armor the Zerker is wearing. It might be Conflate or maybe Lillith.

The first Fireblast only hits for 40k+ from the back, though it may have registered on the side since the Zerker was moving.

The damage done by Lightning Bolt and Ice Sphere is okay with me, even though it seems a tad low.

After Overchannel, the damage seems low, but only because the last main Meteor never crits. The total damage done by both
Overchanneled Meteor is around 43k+ with 1 or 2 on the smaller meteors critting. If all meteors crit, the damage should be around 75k, which is what a Sorc would closely do currently with overchanneled Fireblast, using the same gear and power build(+55 crit rate), and without the charms/consumables.

The non overchanneled Meteor at the end doesn't crit and the damage is a whopping 25k white damage. That's very sad...

I can't seem to find any information or video that hints or tells how much more damage the tweaks gave. Hopefully, it brings Sorcs back up from where they left off before revamp, damage wise.

What are your thoughts?

TL:DR;

Hopefully, the tweaks added after revamp release gave Sorc's Meteor, Void Pulse, and Flame Pillar a 20%-30% PvP damage increase. The damage in the video, pre tweaks, is quite lacking despite the Sorc using a semi full power build and VM7 weapon. Filler skills damage is fine for me even though it seems a tad low.

Not too sure if the numbers were nerfed too much for PvP, but it really seemed way too low. I don't expect a very huge increase, since their original damage is actually a little on the high side.

Yeah, I believe 25% for Meteor and Void Pulse, and 30% for Flame Pillar would be adequate. Just to cover the overchannel buff loss on the two main skills, and Flame Pillar to cover the lack of Overchannel use for the other skills like Flame barrage, etc.

Right now, Sorc is pretty balanced IMO. Very few people play it now after the nerfs. While Fireblast does quite a lot of damage when it crits, it doesn't 1 shot compared to pre-nerf.
  • OP class. Very few people play it now because of reapers, ninja and gunners - even more broken classes.

the weird thing is that there are people who say reaper / gunner / brawler are not OP...

ATM, Sorc is semi OP only if played right. Pre-nerf, it was definitely OP. Now, the amount of effort and skill it takes to properly play Sorc now is what deters many from playing the class.

Brawler, Gunner, and Ninja are pretty balanced ATM. Ninja could use a bit of a nerf on their movement abilities, i.e. higher CD on Jagged Path and less traveling distance on Fire Avalanche. Other than that, they are pretty much in between.

Reapers on the other hand are quite OP. A fully buffed Reaper's Sundering Strike with consumables crits me for 95k-100k. That's not including the damage from Death Spiral, Double Sheer, and Grimstrike. Basically a wombo combo from just getting stunned by a Cable Step into Smite, or just getting caught by Smite alone.

It sucks, but there is nothing we can do. All vanilla classes can do is to just try to git gud because BHS will never nerf Reapers. Brawler and Ninja might have an easier time against Reapers. Gunners is the only new class that may have a difficult time against Reapers, it seems. You have to play pretty tactical to take down a reaper as a Gunner.
  • Still OP, just not as reaper, ninja and gunner.
Gunner and ninja balanced? what are you smoke?
What you just say brawler have easier against reaper? Brawler just got nerf to the ground.

What class you you play, btw?

What makes Sorc OP for you besides a crit from Fireblast? Have you tried playing Sorc?

Yes, Gunner and Ninja are balanced. There are ways to counter Gunner and Ninja. Yes, even after nerf, Brawlers are still pretty powerful.
  • Priest, Slayer, Warrior, Brawler, Lancer, Berserker, Sorc.
    AoE.
There is not way. Ninja can have AoE stagger lock and stun lock with DPS able to take 100-0 during single CC duration. Gunner have AoE KD for over 30 m. heavy armor, range to 30m and ability to one shot. This classes are same broken as reaper.
Brawlers after nerf all what can do is cast Ground Pounder in group PvP with hope it catch few noobs who do not know how to escape from it. Brawler nerf definitly went too far because the class can do absolutly nothing.

You should read the post above yours. It gives very good and solid points about said casses.
