Hmm. An extra pounding instead of a focused? Is the fight going to last enough to make the boss be out of enrage for longer than it's enraged? I mean, in my case I try to DPS fast because the bam enrages at certain HP thresholds. By using a focused one can do enough DPS to break the next threshold without the bam losing the enrage from the previous. Basically the bam, once first enraged, never loses the status until it dies. Again, if DPS comes fast enough.
Pounding, Focused, Carving, Wrathful.
Double pouding would mean a huge dps loss. My bad.
DPS stance is stronger in terms of overall damage. Intimidation may be easier and with enough practice with it you will be able to kill faster, of course. But practicing with normal stance will make you even faster. Also, having the bam facing a single direction makes it attack more frequently because it doesn't have to look for you.
Again, some bams can be pretty stubborn, and some will rotate quickly or even in an instant for no reason at all, so a balance must be done if going for back crit build and tactics. One shouldn't spend most of the fight running, or your DPS will be even lower than if fighting always from the front.
That's not a fact for zerks right now, people.
@Ultemecia wrote a bit in zerk guide about DPS em DStance as zerk nowadays and it's a pretty new hybrid way of playing zerk.
I don't doubt you can modify the standard dps dstance rotation to a solo dps rotation and farm just as well as a zerk dps or a zerk tank. Even better, who knows?
I do iod bams with 2 power 3 crit setup (+200 crit factor) and my crit is just fine.
Anyone who says Intimidation Stance is higher DPS for zerks is a [filtered] idiot
