Lancer mana problems
Yo, is this a thing or am I just doing it wrong? Lately all I do is drain mana, it feels like. I had this priest the other day, who wouldn't even use restorative burst with the mana glyph, try to tell me that I should use auto attacks between my rotations so I don't use as much MP, but I thought about it for a couple of seconds and realized he was probably full of [filtered]. He also suggested the DPS do this as well, which solidified that notion, about him being full of [filtered].
Anyway, it got me thinking because the other day I went and did a real simple FI with my friend who's a great priest, and even he had trouble keeping my mana up. Granted, he maintained it and I only needed to use a pot once, but he implied that it took a great deal of effort on his part. Now, I have NO problem hoarding mana potions or whatever, but I just want to know if this is a thing lancers have just learned to put up with, or if I'm playing the class wrong, since all I'm doing is playing aggressively between blocks/wallops. I could do less, and therefore use less mana, but then I'm *pretty* sure one of my friends in VM would pop their brooch and steal aggro in a few seconds if I stood around spamming LMB all day. IMS runs are currently a financial nightmare, as most IMS healers do not think about mana since the majority of their party members are ninjas and gunners who seem to always be full on mana no matter what because nothing says balanced like top dps at no cost amirite.
My attempts to remedy this situation have been extensive: I "ruined" my jewelry by giving it mana regeneration rolls alongside the crit rolls. I swapped out a crit innerwear for an MP innerwear. I've bought out the entire broker on sarberry smoothies and pop them so much that healers constantly think I have a debuff when it's literally just the brainfreeze. Still, it's never enough and I'm almost always in the sub-1000 range in terms of my mana. Once I use my speed buffs, forget about it. Anyone have any suggestions or tips?

There's no other way, even if you glyph it right and priest constantly feed you mana, you will still run out of mana. You don't play it wrong. If you are good, a priest will not be able to keep up with your mana, only mystic can.
The one boss I struggle with mana is Verno from DF and I tend to use up a few mana pots/sarberry. Mystics sometimes would leave motes for me but it's not enough and sometimes I'm too busy doing dps; who has time to pick those up anyway. I had only one run where a priest stood behind me while mystic was with the rest of the party; that was the only time I was good with mana management at verno. I use auto in between my skills most times since it's part of my rotations and believe me, even that doesn't help with mana as much but it's something.

-I used to use this glyph setup since FIHM patch. I added the 500 resolve glyph when this patch was released. And since I only use(d) onslaught as evasive purposes only, I did not glyph it. Mana wise I rarely had issue with this setup but later I found this may not be my best glyph build yet.
(2)My current glyph build I use now

-Mana management on this setup has been a bit more tedious than my previous build but it's not as noticeable if there is double heals. But when using adrenaline rush + qf brooch, mana drains pretty quickly. I had a mystic question me, "How do you drain your mana so fast but you get it back so fast also?". I really don't know but maybe I pop mana draught or sarberry at those times. I also realized that adding onslaught to my rotations is essential to my dps now; noticed a big boost to my dps but have to becareful using onslaught at times. I'm smacking myself for not using it in my rotations. This glyph setup is what I have been trying in my tanking runs now. I know I'm missing lockdown blow glyph for damage.

-I was thinking to start using this build after seeing some builds from different lancers. Usually I have infuriate glyphed for cd but was thinking to take that out and put points elsewhere. I had it cd since I think it helps to enrage a boss later in the fight but I believe if there is a good team, may not need it?
Anyway those are my 3 different builds but I have been using (2) at the moment. I can take infuriate out maybe and try putting those points elsewhere. And like someone else mentioned in here, the 0.6 mp replenish is not on the current vm weapons anymore. I had definitely felt the difference from that. It seems that even if we glyph mp stuff on certain skills, they help but we will find ourselves having problem with mana at times. If I only use 1-2 mana draught/sarberry per run, then I'm okay with that since I'm not using a whole lot.
good and relevant post
Priest also has pretty lack luster Mana return atm, try making friends with a Mystic who uses Corruption Ring. It's so much nicer.
Other than that, pop Mana Draught X, Mana Potion X, Divine Infusion, Sraven Berry Smoothers, and pray. Pray hard your healers give you mana.
ALWAYS
Glyphed combo attack helps, but it can get in the way of rotations sometimes, especially when you have to burn something fast.
