Could we get a warning enchanting using a MW'ed item?

So I was enchanting some stuff. Got gloves Slaughter with perfect rolls to +9 MW. Enchanted it with rare to get a good enchantment bonus on it. Then I realized I was out of MWA (I stop building enchantment advantage after a while) so I went to the bank and bought a via tokens another glove. I accidentally enchanted the new glove, destoying the already enchanted one.

Could we get a warning when this is about to happen?

    This happened to me with my sorc's boots. If you didn't already send in a ticket to enmasse support, you should. What I think is that when we go to enchant our gear with other gear, the enchanted gear should show the masterwork and enchantment number label on the item, instead of it being bare and looking like the regular item. This would probably help a lot of players who may accidently make this mistake.
  • I guess I will. What is the worst that could happen? They say tough [filtered]?

    Also, it would be nice for a warning about enchanted items which aren't MW'ed. I've also done that, but it was on gear I didn't care too much about. I care this time. A lot.

    Maybe they can ponder over how to fix this issue.
    @Treeshark
    @Spacecats
  • it shouldn't even happen, I mean a gear which has been enchanted more than 6 times shouldn't be able to use as a fodder.

    Do you think this is a bug, bull [filtered], or both?
  • This happened to me! Twice! Accidentally use a +9 perfect mw glove and a +10 perfect mw boot as fodder xD

    I rage quitted both characters, then came back to one with 0 intentions of making a better boot for her... But sitting on another +10 boot right now.

    I don't mind this being a non-feature, something needs to tell me to stop playing and go to sleep :P
  • I'm glad to see that I'm not alone on this. This is like finally winning at a casino then grabbing someone else's, who has been quite unluck's, chips and not realizing it until after you have cashed them in.

    The whole "gamble your way to the top" is bad enough. When you have to start back over again...that's real rage material there.

    Huh. I did NOT get that. So it is a bug. Good to know. That means they can't just say "too bad so sad".

    edit: I just checked my inventory to see if by some chance I had missed it, that I had three gloves, and only the unenchanted one got used. This is not the case sadly.
  • Hurry fix it, because those big +0 and +1 are like, totally not noticeable. D:

    It is not bug, it is not programmed by fail BHS.

    Actually, yes, it is difficult. Maybe my eye sight isn't so great (maybe?), but when the item is grey'ed out due to being in someone else's inventory (I have one character with access to the Alliance Enchanter who enchants everyone's gear) I can barely make out the picture. It also didn't help that had early morning glare on my screen.

    Update: EME was able to restore the glove without any hassle on my part beyond the simple process of putting in a ticket. Thank you NPU for making the suggestion. I would have just written it off as a lose other wise. It did lose it's enchantment advantage, but I can live with that as compared to having to get it back up to +9 MW.
