PvP gear recommendations
So I haven't done much PvP other than the little bit of CS that I've played. I plan to get into FWC, maybe 3's, and GvG's if I can get I to a Guild that does them and that will accept me (lol). My question is: What is the recommended gear before one can participate in GvG's and FWC? And how can I hone my skills in PvP? Would CS help any? And swhat would be the fastest way(s) to obtain said gear?

The fastest way to get geared with Conflate would be doing FWC/Kumasylum to get the Nodes so you can craft it. Try to find someone in your server that have the Design already so they can craft for you, the gear is BoE so you can trade after crafting.
You dont really need a good gear in FWC, just make sure youre using decent crystals (cruxes are ok too) and you should be fine.
To get better id say go to VO(outside Velika) and duel ppl + watch others that are good with the class youre playing.
3's is a good place to learn too but i dont recommend going there for that <w< when youre used to your class feel free to queue tho.
Ask ppl around and read some guides to have an idea about what to do.

Also, what are the "nodes"? And, don't people charge for crafting stuff for you? Or is that if they have to pitch in materials?..
And im kinda old in Tera but not that much.
By nodes i mean the crafting material for Conflate that you can get from the Bellicarium(whites) and Killing Spree stores(oranges), 10.000 credits each
To make conflate you need Nodes and Colluva Ingot, but its not that hard to get tbh
Kumasylum = easy Bellicarium
FWC = a decent ammount of Belly and KS -FWC queue takes a bit longer to pop, specially now that everyone is hunting mongos-
People can ask you gold to craft..idk i never did lol if ppl ask i just craft for them, maybe youre lucky to find someone who doesnt either
And all the mats for conflate are tradeable too, if you have friends who like to give you stuff (aka sugar daddies/moms) they could help too XD
Also, if youre going to "rush" Conflate, would be better if you have more than 2 characters because of the weekly credit cap from BGs. After a while start to pay attention to your credits in the Battleground window to see if its going up or not.

Almost sure the BG Jackpot event is on right now so use it to get some credits too if youre going Conflate! (not 100% sure about the event tho, think i saw it earlier)

For OP since you play a lancer I also recommend that you try VO before going into FWC/GvG or just go to CS and try to land that gigas, most people in FW expect the lancer gigas so they can kill most of the enemy in the 1st fight so you are going to be in the spotlight every time you go in there yay you!!
Savage Crux: 1.20 - Savage Niveot: 1.26 (0.06 crit power difference)
Salivating Crux: 81 - Salivating Niveot: 84 (3 MP everytime you hit)
Carving Crux: 3% - Carving Niveot: 3,2% (0,2%)
Forceful Crux: 19 - Forceful Niveot: 20 (cant confirm this one)
Swift Crux: 15 - Swift Niveot: 16 (1 mov speed diff)
Resolute Crux: 9,5% - Resolute Niveot: 9,9%
Relentless Crux: 4808 - Relentless Niveot: 5434
/\ This is the only one with a reasonable change...kinda, because 626 x 3 = 1878..if you ever survived with 1878 in a BG, you can thank your Niveots.

The difference between Cruxes and niveots are minimal while the price difference is stupid. Sorry to tell you but for the price Niveots go for, they arent worth it, specially if you need to use your gold in something else that actually makes a difference like your gear.
I could make a price difference to make it look better but everyone knows every Niveot is more than 1000g and most Cruxes are less than 50g.
If you kick people in BGs because they are using Cruxes youre very wrong.
And dont tell me about Dyads, i know the difference is bigger but im assuming he has no crystals for PvP, so he probably has no Dyads as well :v
Wow, thanks! No, I currently don't have PvP crystals. :< I'm still learning what gear is good for PvE and what's good for PvP. I still have to look at a more detailed guide for Lancers, as well. But thank you for the crystal comparison! I thought I wouldn't be able to do PvP without Dyads to be honest...I never cruxes would be so close to the niveots.
Thanks! Yea, once I get proper PvP gear, I plan to sit in OV and duel people. I still get nervous/anxious when I duel so I panic a lot and press wrong keys or mess up combos. I know I need to work on that before I can do any GvGs or FWC. Any guides for getting better at PvP? Tips? Anything you could lend/recommend?

When you are in EQ gear Niveots are a must have (since you can be one shot by geared players in that paper I mean EQ gear and the dmg isn't that good) and you seem to forget that Crystals can be bought with Bg/Vg credits if you really don't want to spend gold also atm there's the Mongo event and crystals and crystal boxes are on the loot table making them drop in price I mean if 16 crit inner wear went from 100k+ to 40k in MT it can only mean that crystals will go down in price as well. Another thing is that I don't kick anyone I just go to FWC to have fun and farm credits winning or losing isn't important anymore for me because rank isn't a thing anymore and even if it was I couldn't careless if they have PvE crystals (which btw I hate to see in Bg) I know I can carry myself thought out the match if that isn't enough well that's just part of solo q. And lastly let's be honest if he ever tries Skyring in Cruxes he or anyone that does will get the insta kick just like that, you don't like it I know but that's just how it is

Niveots arent that important..if even after me showing the difference being so small you cant get it i guess i have no point trying to "proove" it, so i wont. But just to correct some wrong stuff you said there:
Price wont go down that much, this is how it is right now in my server.
It might actually go up for a while because of how much ppl got Dyad Structures and will buy the 3 cheapest Niveots from the broker to try to get one.
And in EQ Gear youll be one shot with Niveots too.

Going to VO and asking someone there or asking on /s is a good option too.
I'm on MT. :c I'll try asking around the VO. I've seen a few around there but not too many recently. I've seen Ranza from Man up and I've added him in hopes to get tips from him but no response so far.
1) once you get it you don't need to change it (for a very long period of time).
2) 0.4% is huge when you are looking upwards of 50k for a nuking ability even on a lancer.
3) As much as you look at the price difference, it is still affordable enough for even the average player.
Every investment in a PvP crystal is worth it in PvP endgame. Don't just all-in on gear.
If you farmed mongos properly, you would probably have made enough blue dyads (note you need to reroll) for a decent pvp setup.
I actually haven't done the event yet...I don't know exactly where to find them.
