Would removal of Reinforced Skivvies ever happen?

I made a thread already about this, I wanted to see if anyone address this specifically so I can decide how to gain my innerwears, farming gold or GF tokens. Don't bring event to this, event is for a short time, the problem with Reinforced Skivvies and GF Tokens is old and getting even older.

Why it shouldn't be in undergarment box? We get Skivvies early stage of leveling as a reward, or it is given by guildies or trespassers, why? It is useless for level 65 chars and GF tokens and Undergarment box is restricted to level 65, This is a big issue, right? You get an item which is absolutely worthless for level 65 and I don't need to get there, how you gain GF tokens when Mongo event is not around.

Also, at 65 with doing quests when reaching 65, you get an Idoneal innerwear which has farm better stats than Reinforced Skivvies.

I might understand why we can't bank GF tokens, But I can't understand why Reinforced Skivvies exists in that box and it has the highest chance to get it from that box. I don't want to get superior +16 crit armor with 1st try but I don't want to get 6 Skivvies out of 6 boxes. This [filtered] is just bad and really needs to be removed from undergarment box.

Why didn't you continue on that thread?

And what difference would it make by removing Skivvies? You'll just as likely be getting 6 Uncommon Innerwears out of 6 boxes, and Uncommon Innerwears can be earned through Story quests as well.

Would be best if they actually removed the skivvies and replaced them with a "Try again" message. That way you don't also have to clean your inventory.

Just remove innerwear completely, problem solved. :^)
  • The Goldfinger tokens from ingame will remain as they are to serve as the Yin to the Yang of the innerwear lootboxes from the game store.

If I were a product manager with a keen sense of marketing and a handlebar mustache, it would be my directive to ensure that the Goldfinger system be designed to maximize frustration and psychological turmoil as much as possible. And keep it that way to encourage players to seek alternatives... like the cash shop.

Currently the Innerwear is the only gear thats on the cash shop, and any gear on cash shop is a p2w item (well p2l if you get skivvies).

I think Bluehole should just split up Innerwears, Innerwears with stats only obtainable through Goldfinger Tokens and designer Innerwears (no stats) only from cash shop.

as i explained to you in your first thread.. because RNG..the beating heart of tera-so get used to it

Where to even begin.. first of all undies aren't technically on the cash shop.. just boxes for them.. which are still RNG boxes same as GF boxes, with an equal chance of getting gold undies as GF, but with alk/mes/etc as "losing" loots instead of low end undies..

Secondly all BiS gear is able to be bought with gold.. even all VM7 mats can be bought with gold.. (yes Versa/SBO/Bark can be bought with gold-via dungeon loot boxes) ..you can easily get gold by selling emp.. so if you wanna call undies p2w so is everything else..

Thirdly innerwear is not meant to be cosmetic, yes there is different styles and yes you can show them off using modesty potions, but they are first and foremost a piece of statistic gear just like any of your other gears. Even if they did make a costume innerwear slot it wouldn't have any affect on the current undies or how you get them.. i wont bother elaborating on that because if you cant see the logic behind it on your own then no amount of explanation is going to help you..

The innerwear slot was ingame since the beginning and every Tera player was asking from time to time what the slot is for. When they indroduced innerwear, half Velika (there was no Highwatch afk zone) was running around in innerwear. It was not discussed much, but the playerbase likes the innerwear, as far as I can see.

The skivvie and goldfinger system really is annoying. If at least the goldfinger tokens were bankable, it would help a little. However, EME tried to put several patches on this. We now have a free innerwear upon hitting lvl 65 which provides you with a free +4 crit (or was it +6?). The event now made the legendary innerwear fall down to even 900g, the +16 crit for 10k. That's something everybody should have bought, independent from participating in mongo or not. If you didnt get some innerwear now, you are not to rant later on about the high prices. EME just shot their own cash shop for innerwear.

this thread is restricted about Reinforced Skivvies in Undergarment Box, it shouldn't be there with the highest chance to gain. That is why I made this thread and will follow it for a respond. Hopefully.

    To give you further perspective:

Inner armors via Goldfinger tokens were first introduced with the Reaper class on May 13, 2014
    http://tera.enmasse.com/news-page/patch-notes/patch-2604

A week and a half later the cash shop versions were introduced on May 22nd, 2014
    http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/inner-armor-now-available

Exactly one year later, the common versions of cash shop innerwear (Unmentionables) were removed from lootboxes on May 21st, 2015
    http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/inner-armor-loot-boxes-now-available

The fact that the cash shop loot boxes received this change over a year and a half ago with no correlating adjustment to ingame goldfinger tokens (or any changes since their introduction for that matter) should pretty much tell you what to expect to be done for these ingame tokens i.e. nothing

Unfortunately it seems you are right, Mongo events just gonna cover this up and it makes me really sad.
  • If it is not gonna happen in a long time, can I know? and try to open my 6 other undergarment boxes and get 6 more Skivvies.
