Everything is carried into the new gears, so they retain the everything as the vm8 had that was used to retooled.
Was Captivation the only set that got a buff? How does Conflate +12 fair against Vergoth +15? Can you add Conflate and VM7 to the comparison on the spreadsheet?

The things you have to consider is that PvP stats seem to work differently. I'm not entirely sure how to compare so people would have to look at Yosha's spreadsheet to compare but even his doesn't really say gear A is better than gear B in PvP unless you have good idea how PvP stats roughly work.
But you have to consider that Conflate is still T9 gear which have less bonus values so in terms of raw stat, Vergoth would be better but when I start considering PvP stats, I get lost... sorry about that. hopefully someone knows about PvP can answer you better than I can.
+12 Conflate will be BiS for Defensive stats in PvP.
+12 Conflate will beat almost every other gear at +12 only counting on stats just because of the lack of +15.
Even though +15 armor has an extra roll you don't really have that many PvP rolls for armor to really capitalise on it.
+15 Imperator weapon will be almost on par with +12 Conflate (DPS), only winning slightly due to VM proc.
+15 Rakelith will beat +12 Conflate weapon by about 5-8%, but only at +15.
Because Conflate Belt doesn't provide any PvP stats at all, I recommend people to run the weapon-belt set from VM alongside the conflate armor, boots and gloves.
Roll for it. There'd be no need for RNG box or tokens if that was the case.
Might be a deciding factor for some of us to whether buy or craft VM8.

Not confirmed. I have not seen that info yet but I'm going to assume it works exactly same as Quatrefoil Brooch which does not share CD with Empowered Brooch.
