I am Australian, and I have the elite status locked in for $10.99, even with conversion rate it is $15 max atm. Before the $10.99 offer I used to buy elite 30 days from the broker, but now I spend the gold on costumes :anguished:
To answer Op though, hmmm, I hate the elite mount, I believe it should be a flying mount, and the 12 gold bonus' is a joke now - please remove as nothing really drops gold. Other that those 2 minor peeves, I like elite.
  • Elite is actually the thing you want the most. No trade fees (The fees I was supposed to pay on daily sales were around 10-15k), tons of trade listings (50 per char), boosts, buffs, consumables(those can reach up to 30k per month), 2x runs, daily perks with consumables and expensive stuff (got once upon a time felicity out of elite box), atlas and discounts. If you're an active player and you run the most of in-game content, also use such in-game features as crafting, then its worthy. In case you're afking in highwatch waiting for another event to come, then forget about it.
  • Definitely worth it. The perks are well-known by now. Obviously, you have to put in the game time to make it worthwhile.

I just realized EME had a deal back in March for Elite Status -- $11/month. Now that would've brought me back to the game for a few months.
  • Totally worth it for gold, but I wont go into details. Whoever looked up a guide how to make gold in Tera, you always stumble across Elite. There's no efficient way to make gold without Elite.

I often ask people to calculate the time they spend on Tera monthly and estimate the cost of this hobby. For me, Tera is the cheapest hobby (besides daydreaming); firearms, archery, martial arts, freeclimbing or even my gym for $75 were/is way more expensive. Of course this also depends on the own assets/allowance. So I understand that $15/month can be a heavy load.

My main benefits in Elite are the free trade broker and still the teleport atlas right now. I always trade (more or less), sometimes I even stored my excess in the broker *haha* for an absurd amount. Of course I also do IoD and run them with average 5 characters per week (cant handle all 16, not even talking about the other additional 14). My logistic capacity is at its limit and the free charms/potions come handy. I also heavily need the teleport book as I regulary hit the 9000 rep Vanguard limit and need to buy some vanguard junk. This is also important for me, because I'm a casual and handling 5 chars to do vangaurds a week needs a time optimization.

There's one very convenient leveling trick only few may know. I have 2-3 buff priests scattered. They are located on the teleport platform of small towns which are usually free of players. While leveling, I set a teleport point into my book, teleport with the villige book to the platform, buff myself and teleport right back to where I left. Permanently providing a <lvl 65 with lvl 65 buffs is a real boost for leveling. Side note: when buffing, sometimes the buffs dont go through as there are too many other characters being buffed. This is why you need a deserted platform.

Please know what you're talking about.
  • I switched out of the $15 a month for the winter event 2 years ago. I only pay $9.99 a month for elite now and it's defo worth.
  • @Stricera how do you make the switch? Is it just cancel then re-sub? Asking in case they do another sale in the future x3

It's definitely not worth it at the default price, no. Wait until they re-do the temporary $10 Elite subscription offer instead. It's definitely going to happen again eventually. If anything, pay for a month of Elite using in-game Gold if you happen to have enough, but don't pay real money for it at its current price (especially not if you're in Canada, our dollar is worth as much as a pile of dust right now).

I guess. All I had to do was buy that elite over the one I'm already using. Then the prices changed on their own :s

The IoD "crap" is counting towards emporium as well as T9 feedstock and other small goodies. The main reason is to keep all my 16 characters constantly below the 9000 cap to strike when e.g. the next event is offering a costume box for 9000 credits again. I also have a -constant- gold income from this and do not rely heavily on other gold income sources.

It's the dripping water that hollows the stone, persistence is the magical word in this.
  • skimmed but to translate u spend hrs grinding doing dailies for fake gold in order to buy costumes for Elins......

Nope, I even use real life money for buying costumes. The same real life money I use for going into a theater to see a fake movie, buying a fake video game to play in a fake world. Money I even spend for a fake internet access to fake a communication with fake people I've never seen before or will ever see in my life (it's called telephon conference with project partners). Fortunately, it's only fake money on a fake bank account, consisting of numbers only. It's been some time since I had real money in my hands.

Just a small question: How old are you? Somwhere in the 70s or 80s? Here's one shocking truth: people even have a fake currency, called Bitcoins. The majority even trades fake stocks online, only shoving numbers around. There are even companies based on fakes only, I think it was called Fakebook *no pun intended* or even Google which sells nothing but fake informations. Some fakish world we're living in. You better move on a mountain and become hermit. Because this conversation is also fake only. I'm a robot called Cortana, not a real person.
