Anyone else's game starts slowing down when sitting in island of dawn for > hr?

I'm running windows 10 and I noticed when I'm on the island for over an hr my games starts to get choppy and I have to restart it. Anyone else having this issue or just me?

Should always make sure you list your computer's specs with as much detail as possible to ensure people can help you, considering there are multiple things that can cause the same issue. Include information such as CPU model and frequency, amount of ram (and frequency if you know it), and GPU.
  • I've noticed some lag there as well but it doesn't seem to be consistent. Therefore I'm not really sure if the cause is on my end or the games, but you tend to see a lot of people complaining in global if the lag is widespread and I didn't see that. Restarting didn't help me, so I'd eventually log off when I got too frustrated.

It's a first gen i5 with a ati 6800 gpu. I did the tweaks in the S1engine but only the green part so guess I'll just reinstall the game since the slow never happened before
  • Check to see if you have a USB game controller connected. There is a known memory leak related to (certain?) controllers that does cause the game to grind to a crawl after a certain period of time. Often just disconnecting the controller will fix it without requiring a game restart.

O crap that might be it lol. The reinstall didn't work so have to be that
  • Ok that worked! Since this happens, I remember there was a similar glitch in Guilty Gear Xrd when it came out on PC that had the same issue when a controller plugged the PC. Luckily they patch the bug... lol

I suppose that's what happened to me when I tried a longer than usual (to me) castle aranea farm session the first day it released. Game crashed on me and gave me a 'no memory' error. I assumed it was a memory leak. Windows 10 anniversary on 16G ram and a Steam controller. Session lasted a little more than 3 hours. I usually don't play that much anymore.
