Returning player with some questions.

Heya. So I haven't played Tera in a really, really long time. I'm talking like...First 2 months of the game's release (P2P days) and I'm looking to play again now what I don't really have much to play in the way of mmos.

Now, considering I like to PvE more than PvPing, what would be a good class to pick now? Before I was a Slayer. I'm fine with a tanking or DPS role but I don't play healers/support.

I would also like to know if there are any players or guilds that would like to guide me a bit since it seems a lot has changed in this game.

Also, I'm willing to do the buddy up thing.

For PvE you can just stay as Slayer since its a fun class (to me) and its in a pretty good spot -for PvE-
The classes that you arent familiar with are probably Ninja(DPS), Brawler(Tank), Gunner(DPS) and Reaper(DPS), the rest is pretty much the same as before (a few classes are getting reworks soon tho, Sorc will be the first one we will get)
If you want to get the highest DPS class just go Ninja; if you want to try Tanking i'd say go for either Brawler or Lancer
If youre looking for people/guild to help you, you could say the server youre in so maybe someone can pm you here.
There is a Buddy Up thread in the forum that you probably already saw there since its in this category lol you can just use one of those!

I'm probably gonna go with Slayer again...Is it still good in groups though?
  • In PvE they are fine..probably in the "good" side of the DPS classes.
I dont really PvE that much so i might be wrong but as far as i know they are doing pretty well for now.
In big PvP groups Slayers arent that good right now tho.

Warrior and Ninja are currently the better dps classes, with Lancer and Brawler for tanking. Slayer is still fine for pve though. Aside for different instances and gear, there is a different daily system called Vanguard Initiative (H by default) for acquiring resources/gold at level 65 and experience/stuff while leveling. Some classes have received changes overtime, more damage, crit, abilities, glyphs, and chains for faster animations. I can answer any questions regarding pve, and for buddyup I can give a code if you play on TR, and even power level you to 20~22.
