Can't sell crystals and runes to merchants,no gold drop why? gaining golds? so what was Mongo event?

I don't understand all those changes for gaining few golds and then that huge broken event. Wanted to fix economy and stop gold sellers? So why the heck there was no control of Mongo Event loot? almost a week passed and still the ruins of the event can be felt.

I can't see EME logic here, I just can't.

They are human, just like everyone else here. They don't have any 'higher' knowledge than us ourselves, this is just an illusion. Their actions were simply not thought of to the extent of the impact for the weeks to come, and just wanted to listen to the communities demand for another monster hunting event. What happen has happened, and what you should really be looking for are suggestions on how to improve on this problem.

In addition, the removal of gold received from selling runes and crystals to merchants was removed to have players sell their crystals on the trade broker to allow more options to new comers and so forth. The gold drop has been removed to match the value of the the gear drops in LV 65 dungeons back when you were able to dismantle LV 65 gear for feedstock. As of now though, with the elite bonus of gold from drops/quests, I believe there should be a return of gold drops in the open-world and in dungeons.
  • People complain when there are sh.it drops, people complain when there are good drops. like why? if u dont like the event then dont do it, and ive never seen people who farm crystals to sell to merchant for gold, plain stupid.

get feedstock, mwa, free costume and mount and other consumable like ses
  • People don't farm crystals to sell at the vendors, however, when you can't sell what you have and it's taking up too much room, then selling should be an option.

With the merge and disappearance of guild banks, I've had to seriously consolidate my inventory and unfortunately, many crystals and runes and other items got chucked out because 1) there are no buyers, and 2) no room to store them for the move. I was really hoping to sell some of it for the small pittance of coins I could get, but alas, all I got was a big fat ZERO.

Honestly, there are not enough gold options in the game (or the amount of gold you can get). There should be a multitude of options to obtain gold ..... for the hardcore players who farm dungeons and for those who play more casually.

The decisions are not directly connected. EME's event was entirely designed by them, but the decisions about selling crystals/runes and gold drops are made by BHS. Often times, the sorts of events EME runs are -- in a way -- to counteract the effects of the decisions BHS makes for their own region, since each area has slightly different expectations on the prices, amount of grind, etc. That said, the event last week was a bit out of balance because they didn't fully-consider the ways people would abuse it. I imagine they'll be less likely to make this particular mistake again.
  • I have been playing the game over 2 yrs. But, normally, most of event didn't really break economic or game system. Normally, this kind of events lasts 2 weeks~ 3 weeks with controllable item drop. But, this Mongo event made everyone who farmed and save mats, or try to get keen inner for alts, or etc, so stupid.

Mongo event was something like before shutting down all game server.

you have no idea what you are talking about and no one needs to farm them, they are given by doing VGS low level, if you wanna reply with some shits, at least think for a second.

I knew you are going to say that, and I agree with that and I know it, but those decisions weren't justified much so EME has to run those events and those events needs to have controlled loots, I am trying to bring this up for a constant solution to these problems not solving them with some broken events and create even more problems.
  • This person is STILL complaining about the Mongo event? LOL

Just look at the post history of this individual.

No point in having a civil discussion. Just another bypasser that will end up stop posting on the forums once you ignore them.

I have been posting often and I got more attention that ppl like you. I am looking for a healthy environment and trolls like you can ignore me, cause my ignore list is already full, and you can defend the event and that proves your lack of knowledge and trollish personality.

I want to remind EME, events like Mongo events won't solve problems we have, but that only comes from players which are bound to Tera because of Tera and not for massive free stuff they can loot in hours from Mongo events. So at the end of the day I am more valuable to the game than likes of you.
  • About feedstock, removing fodder system was a mistake, after awhile we see that shortage, removing loots from lower dungeons, another mistakes, I couldn't find some superior gloves from level 40 to 50, some problems were made for fighting gold sellers or w/e and then EME tries to solve them for their community, I appreciate it deeply, I rather adjust myself with games environment than breaking it with some fast, unjust events.

I hope as said before, we hear from EME that they consider heavy balance on events and solving some of shortage of mats and gears with better and constant plans.

You need superior gloves when levelling? Even on some outdated classes I feel that leveling is so easy I didn't have to get the best gear possible.

But really, as a person that didn't really benefitted from the event anyway, I disagree with what you say. While the first few hours was overbearing to be really honest, the rest were really fine. Didn't really check the game but prices should drop quite a bit for enchanting materials. Remember, gold in this game is really an arbitary value at the current state.

For removing gold drops in OW. It removes incentive for botting, which is rampant in other servers and not us. We are just "suffering" the burnt of the non-existant bot issue which is compensated by higher gold income from quests and end game dailies, and the lack of need for gold when levelling in the very first place. To be very fair if you were at the times right before the patch where alliance stopped dropping gold, the mobs drop an insane amount of gold for a permanent thing, especially so when you can get similar amounts of value from the same mongo event with the same amount of time spent. Be thankful it didn't continue.

Events aren't meant to solve problems alone, of course. This event succeed on its own goal, to gather people for Open world activities (and prove to Highwatch that OWPvP is not that terrifying even during events). It wasn't really to stabilise the economy.

In fact. saying they are completely freebies is a moot point, because the likes of IoD and TAR WERE essentially handouts for doing simple events. At least it is more effort than not logging in at all.

The economy took a hit due to huge change of items, but considering that it is mostly not arbitary gold but actually materials, it should drive the price down, allowing even the weaker and poorer people to benefit.

Most of the problems you mentioned can't be solved by EME by their own due to them having nearly no power over the final build, if you haven't already realised.

I did farm crystals a very long time back when dailies didn't give that much gold, that is more than a year ago. But at the current state of the game yes it is honestly stupid.

From what I understand, EME was not responsible for removing the feedstock dismantle system for most things. It was BHS because in their home build they don't need as much feedstock as us (or something along those lines). Anyway all EME could do at the moment was to try and bring feeds into the game through the only sources they are allowed to do so. Events and daily rewards. Sure, it won't put things back as they were before, but they are also not in a comfortable situation in the matter to begin with.

You don't need to farm crystals while lvling, you get tons from VG quests, you can't sell them, because everyone else are getting tons of them from VG quests from the start to level 60. When you had a pile of them reaching 60 and fusing some, you could sell all and when clearing your bank could make couple of golds easy, wasn't much, so what was the reason for removing it again?

Also, getting mats, crafting mats, runes, not a lotta ppl buying them, cause we all know crafting is not much alive these days, so when you were running dungeons and killing bams during leveling, again they could help, they weren't much, why they were removed again?

You can't give me much about why we had those little golds removed and then all of a sudden Mongo event (which is stated by everyone with a little fairness in their essence was outta of balance way too much) has happened.

The mongo event had nothing to do with gold drops? The OW gold drops and gold being removed for selling crystals were removed because of bots in ktera.
