Priests should recieve Keen charm when using elite Talisman Trio

Its useless for a priest to use talisman trio and get a Power charm. Please change it to a Keen one.

  • its gonna be removed anyway, and its not that big of a difference for healers as well.
  • Yeah i know, but still, its a useless elite function for healers.

Didn't know it was going to get removed, i like it.
  • power > keen whenever i do SSHM
  • Keen charm is getting removed? Or the elite trio charm?

all charms, since stamina (campfires, panacea, etc) is getting removed, stamina will be no more.
  • Hmm well not sure since its in the east, on ktera they got just 1 buff button for everything.
  • Keen is useless for healers regardless.

i can't believe it's 2016, almost 2017, and there's people who still think healers should be using keen charms.

    incredible

Been playing priest for 3 days. Saw some guide that says Keen charm is better than no charm, hence this.

Chill, not sure what you play, but going from DPS to priest is like playing a new game.

i understand that your intentions were good but, considering you just picked up playing a healer 3 days ago, let this be a lesson to not parrot stuff blindly you read in guides. they're not entirely accurate, not by far. if you want to pick up good healer knowledge find the most experienced healers on your server and ask them for advice, and not just one but a good handful 'cause while a lot of advice is in stone some of it is subjective.

sure keen is better than no charm because why not extra crit? but that's the equivalent of saying strength charm is better than no charm 'cause why not extra chance to KD? but power charm > every other offensive charm. there are dungeons where, as a healer, you gotta be killing mobs or breaking objectives like totems or crystal or some other nonsense, this is why you want power. power is also just overall better for you leveling days as well, makes you hits mobs harder consistently and what have you, don't need extra crit when avatar weapons exist.

if it makes you feel better there was a time when people used to believe healers should be using speed charms even though those charms only effected the speed of your auto attack

Keen charms do little to nothing for Priest as well, all Yellow Charms have little to offer them.

Keen Charms increase your crit heals by a very small amount, I believe it is 1 extra crit out of 20

Power Charms can be useful in SShm when it comes to mob phase, since mobs have an extremely high crit rate and healer are often place out further than DPS, it weighs on them to kill a percentage.

Attack Speed only effects basic skills in which they are never used

The Basic rule of thumb is Power>Keen for damage output

I just saw some guide everyone was praising, i guess it made sense in my head. Also im sure ive seen priest say things like "move im going to keen" in middle of parties, so hey.

    Ty for answers.

That's because keen charm is the only yellow charm that can actually improve support. There have been a handful of instances when healers would benefit from other charms(like power or strength) but those are not all that common. What the others in this topic are repeating without understanding while trying to make themselves look smart is the general belief that the benefit of a keen charm is not particularly worth the trouble of charming yourself separately(and, recently, requiring a campfire to do so). It's by no means useless and a lot of tryhard healers had(and still have) a problem with its removal.

and this thread was going so well, too...... hello darkness my old friend.

anyway i'm glad the majority agree on the preference on power over keen, having fun dying in SSHM and putting everything on hold while you go recharm power 'cause your talisman only gives you keen. which we all know is a huge lifesaver... that minuscule chance for a crit heal, the only heal that truly matters. same reason why every tryhard healer plays castanic for that crit passive

    Oh wait
  • Keen charm doesn't improve crit heals significantly. There have been a few tests and it doesn't crit enough to make it worthy of using it.
