i think gameforge is bigger and they publish more games than enmasse
Tera NA hasn't been on Steam more then a year. You imply with your comment that Tera NA is still there for EU players and potential players are lost. It's been 1 year and nothing has changed for Tera EU, getting added to Steam won't change anything.
All their games share same laggy,overpriced cash shop with wheel of torture.
Runes of Magic was one the last games that got that garbage update and previous wheel of torture got update!
As you see there are bars between each level. You need to LEVEL your spinning to get better loot for wheel. Fun part is that timer starts when you start from level 1 and if you don't spin again you loose all progress...

This is only one game, this kind of BS spreads through all their games, some more and some less effected.
Whatever Gameforge does now in TERA, their reputation is ruined long ago and they do these kind of scummy things and they keep doing it.

The wheel of fortune looks horribly unappealing. But I doubt you HAVE TO play that Wheel of Destiny to get in-game items??? As someone pointed out, you get your items steadily by playing the game in every Tera versions. BHS streamlined all regional differences to lessen the gap between them and KTERA.
About the Elite in NA, who do you think, are selling you the Elite vouchers? En Masse NPC?? No, It's other players who spent REAL MONEY to get them and sell for gold. If everyone only wants to buy Elite with gold, do you think there is an voucher for you to buy?
I have a decent fortune here playing for a long time. And every patch it is the same. The game gets boring way to fast. 1 day after patch i get my +15 vm. Cleared the HM dungeons for a while and then AFK in HW. The server is very crowded at the beginning of the patch and then deserted in the next months. Because same as many people, me and my friends have enough mats for the next 2 patches, 10+ millions gold and nothing to do. I don't do PvP because it's an balanced mess and my main class is non-competitive.
LOL I remember Aeria Games doing the same spin wheel crap. They are as [filtered] as Game Forge. NEVER play games published by them, thats my rule.
I think people give Gameforge a really hard time. Playing in the EU, it was very noticeable that the number Tera players declined much faster than in NA, and it was then that Gameforge started to introduce rather draconian measures to tempt people to spend money. Tera EU is NOT Pay-2-Win, but it most certainly is more difficult to enjoy the game if you don't spend money on it. The interesting thing is that Enmasse have actually started to go the same way. Player numbers are declining and enmasse are constantly introducing more and more to entice players back. Prices in the shops already seem much higher for the new items than for the old. The benefits of Elite are increasing to tempt people in to buying it.
Keep in mind that EU Tera was published by Frogster before who merged into Gameforge. Price structure was similar to NA Tera because they just took over the concept. At a certain point, the monetarization specialists from Gameforge changed direction to fish for big whales only. This is why EU Tera has this package structure (buy one thing you want and 5 things you dont want together) as well as the RNG packs. Apparently this still keeps EU Tera afloat, but you must keep in mind that Gameforge runs mutiple other MMOs (e.g. Aion). So Gameforge will not likely go bankrupt in the near future.
Too lazy to look for the revenue numbers, but NA Tera is the one publisher rolling in the money. EU Tera simply lacks the quantity as well as the paying customers. You could even see it at the real money trades. While selling EMP in NA Tera is one honorable/normal activity, selling TT in EU Tera fell down in morale to being a "casher" and people even sell on alts only to protect their mains.
While Gameforge was sitting idle and milking Tera, EME is always on the move and established a steam access. For a couple of days, EU players could access NA Tera via stream. Seeing their milk cow in danger, Gameforge filed a lawsuit/reprimanded EME and this is why EU players have no steam access to Tera. Even after such a long time, Gameforge has not been able to offer EU players a steam access.
I'm constantly watching EU <-> NA transfers in the forums and the only transfer I see is from EU to NA. Only very, very rarely EU players go back again because of friends missing or language problems. I know of none US citizen playing on their own free will on EU servers (I heard the Guantanamo inmates are forced to play on EU servers instead of being waterboarded).
On last word: If you never played any other MMO, stop ranting about EME. Go play BnS, play EU Tera. EME has its mistakes, wrong decisions. But our problems here (e.g. calendar not filled again) are really, really small compared to botting, being ignored or really messed up servers (imagine NA Tera servers login-, battleground-, broker- and dungeon server located in Berlin, Germany. This is what NCWest does with the EU players; their servers are partly located in the US). Stop thinking that you will get a perfect publisher. Neither EME is perfect, but they do better than the competitors.
Our shop dont sell direct MWA or Spellbinds only rng boxes. The only thing what is most p2w on EU is just Elite cause of the Darkan flame daily whichs allows u to opnen banyakas treasure chest from GG ( 50% drop chance in GG) which contains 5 to 25 MWA 1 to 3 Goddes Tear 2 - 3 GF token and Random Reward ( Libeartion Scroll / Costume Box / More Goddes Tear / More MWA / Etching Material / 50 or 100% Additive / Fashion Coupon / MES
We DONT have Everful Nostrum on Elite bar just Charm trio ..... so it isnt "real" p2w like ur .. common u get everful nostrum which means no goild sink for ya.
We lost most of the player casue Gameforge did one mistake last year which was calle "MWA Crises" because BHS decide to remove MWA for LoT and Gameforge didnt have any fast fix like MWA Boxes for VG or Dungeon drop ... It was only BHS fault because they need over 1 month to deliver a fix.
Tera EU make fun because u dont have full +15 after one week ... If uplay much u can ofc if u save all your MWA.
Rerolling jewelery isnt easy because our semi cost arround 1k gold ... But atleast it makes fun because u have work for more than one week,
Look at Mongo Event .... U do a (non contet related Event) where u get so much Stuff for doing alomost nothing... Come on tell we where is the "fun" if u get everything u need from event ? I ask sometimes why bluehole send NA new content ? They just need to buff old dungeon and intpdruce new Visionmaker for u because u never need to farm much like EU ? Its not an insult this is a question ?
I have played on NA too cause of the MWA crisis in EU but i left fast because i got full discovery +12 perf stat with perf jewelery after 2 days of lvl 65 ? It no fun it like a sandboix game.
I often read that EU are easy mode cause of Op Consumable .. but really YOU WOULD USE THEM TOO IF U HAVE THEM.
Combat accelartor =/= +15 Visionmaker ....
ANd as i said before .. these consumable cost around 900g on TB and u can drop them in GG / so no p2w and the OP seal of the undying flame was only an event drop from december 2015 ... I only know ONE person on my server who had 5 left of these items ..
If i compare all version i would say.
TERA NA .. If u want play for fun and dont want to grind so much i would suggest play on NA
TERA EU .. If u like to grind or work for ur gear / dont want stay afk or 5 month in HW then play on EU
TERA RU .. If u like to play Skyring i would suggest go to Tera RU because Skyring get promotet in RU other than EU an NA where Mass bg gets promoted
so much stupid claims here that it made me cringe so lets begin in earnest.
1-gf takes hugely longer times in support tickets than eme. and gameforge servers are always shittier. i get the same ping at na tera with the eu tera. and gameforge events are far more pay2win while eme events are actually helpful to economy.
2-thats one [filtered] up event youre dissing eme for.
3-the thing is if nobody buys emp to sell vouchers, their price will rise and eventually it will be worth for a lot of people to buy emp and sell them. did game made money? yes. did players had the choice of spending their cash or time(in a reasonable amount)? yes. that means its a good business model. then look to gameforge and tell me its not p2w.
4-thats bhs's fault, not the publishers. and if you actually played in eu tera you would know its way worse there right now. hell the fact that there are crapton of eu players in na tera but no na players in eu tera speaks for itself.
please your publisher is giving away free starfall and youre coming here calling us easymode players? na cleared hm dungeons far earlier than eu servers ever did, without those stronger consumables you have given. and i know this cus i was an old freya player.
Yea we got free Starfall ( which is useless in near fututre) and it is only a +12 scroll ( u still need to roll stats for it)

YOu are an old Fraya player ? This explain everything ... only because Fraya was unable to clear Hm dungeon, doesnt mean that everybody sucks .
And btw NA get the content earlier than EU ( Like vm4 and vm5)
so it is logical that NA clear faster xD Because u cleared it before we even get the content.

SCHM was cleared on EU and NA after the same amount of time AFTER release ... and we didnt have this "Op Consumales" back then.
BUT AT THIS TIME WE HAD THE MWA CRISIS SO IT WAS EVEN HARDER TO GET PROPER GEAR FOR SCHM
Whatever .... typical ex EU player whos now [filtered] on NA cause here u get stuff for doing less than EU .. really weak in my opinion ...
