    Once, I was at a bookstore. I saw the next in a serious that I had been reading. Up to that point, all the covers were matte. I debated. Should I or shouldn't I buy it. In the end I bought the glossy monstrosity. I got home, put it on my bookself next to the others. It was awful. A true study in all that is wrong with the world was staring at me with a single shiny malevolent eye. I had trouble sleeping that night.

    The next day I returned the book.

    I'm not fond of these, but I respect everyone who is. I might consider getting the one of the left after I finish my CastaSorc's wardrobe.
