Someone explain PvP servers to me

I just recently returned to the game, I played on Tempest Reach (PvE) and decided to try out Mount Tyrannas (PvP).

It seems to me that PvE servers gets most of the PvP that a PvP server have - battlegrounds/alliance stuff/guild vs guilds.
What are some other benefits of PvP servers other than getting my [filtered] handed to me by +15 Starfall players while I try to level - happening from Oblivion Woods to Highwatch areas - geared people just come out and 1 shot people leveling.

Are there other PvP exclusive to PvP servers?

Whilst not a direct 'benefit', the advantage of being on MT is the server population. Similar could be said about TR too. More players = more opportunities.

The real fun is when you group up. PvP is not for single players. E.g. in WoW we used to set up traps with one low level of us as bait and some stealthed max level rogues (in WoW you have permanent stealth/invisibility). At prime time, you often have single max level players who kill low level players for fun. Of course it’s a funny surprise when suddenly two rogues step out of invisibility and kill the ganker.

Yeah, I was doing a clean start, pretty much as a new player on MT solo. It was pretty discouraging getting 1 shotted by +15 starfall players left and right while leveling up, and people wonder why VoT and LoT needs a merge... when you turn away new players like this.

Currently in the process of liquidating everything into gold and trying to buy elite voucher - the elite voucher once used apply to the whole account and not just the server right? and dang... 30 day one went from 65K to 80K in like a week

And is discouraging to hear that MT haven't changed a bit in the past years, is the same lowbie gankfest that some people do for "Fun".

Yeah the game kind of sucks anyway tbh. Pve is too boring and repetitive and pvp is just a gankfest. I was going to come back but I got too bored replaying the tutorial hand holding nonsense at low level and the pvp servers are full of 65s killing for no reason other than griefing. My lv 45 main is on a pvp server so we decided to stick with that. I remember the pvp being bad but a quick channel change did the trick. This time around things seem to have gotten worse over the years. Changing channels has less players to the point where it looks like wow open world and the only rare encounter is some [filtered] with nothing better to do than hang out where he doesn't belong just to pk. It would be nice if there were some decent restrictions on pvp where you actually got a fair fight. One guy even hung out with me a bit laughing and joking so I figured he was there to ward off pkers. After a while he decided to one hit me. At that point I turned off the game and decided to never come back. The game sucks.
