State of alchemy

Several questions:
- How dead will alchemy be?
- Is this an INTENTIONAL move from BHS to slowly remove alchemy? Or just somehow BHS doing their thing without caring the other?
- What are the chance of alchemy (or even crafting in general) be removed in the future?

I love crafting potions :( Not because of making money or profiting, I just like doing them and be able to use those scrolls and potions myself.

I'm a master alchemist that has crafted 0 heaven elixir since I heard that is being removed as well.

    Crafting VII Power/Crit scrolls was my income, till the new elite bar items, but got around that selling etching mats.

    H.E. is getting removed too, so the 3 items for a Master Alchemist are obsolete.

    So yea, Alchemy is gonna die :chuffed:

    No news on any new crafting system/ revision which is a shame as i love crafting!

    It will be gone next patch , once they add the new dungeons, the alliance system or the raid. idk when it comes.
  • Just saying but...crafting has been kind of useless in this game for about 1 year or more unless you were an alchemist master or an etch master.
    Becoming a weaponcrafter or an armorcrafter feels useless considering how much easier it is to get gear right now...nor you need any specific crafting skills to craft VM ( Imperator that is...) .
    I'd say the whole crafting system would need a rework as well as maybe even gathering and gear drops ( even though I'm glad to be able to gear my alts relatively quickly ) , otherwise it's just fair to balance out stuff ( which still isn't the best solution) .
  • From what I've read they are making gathering items and crafted mats non-tradable as well so it seems like they want crafting to be something you do for yourself and not to profit. BHS and EME will eliminate any opportunity for RMTs to thrive in this game and I'm OK with that. Alchemy was a craft that a lot of people used personally but I think they just want to simplify consumables going in to this next phase of Tera which seems more focused on bigger picture content and not so much of a number crunch.
  • I do crafting for the joy of it more than for the possibility to make money. However, knowing that there is the potential to make money is a draw. The last MMO I played, when I came back after 2.5 years of inflated prices, I was sitting on stack of money that was still sizable. Why? Because I was crafting about $50 of goods a week for several months.
