The mongo event is the best event of all times.

Sup y'all,

Just wanted to take the time out and praise the Mongos event. I really enjoyed all the OWPVP that took place. Finally, an event that FORCES people to leave safe-zone, it's amazing, isn't it?

For the duration of the event, my party ran around just pking everyone in sight. It was hilarious when people flamed us for PVPING on a PVP server. It was awesome... to say the least.

I hope to see more events like this in the future. What do you guys think?

Wasn't a fan for the simple fact to get anything good you had to party up. Some of us like soloing and killing. Otherwise, I can't say much about the event, since I received very little rewards.
I do hope you enjoyed yourself!

There were zones that only had solo Mongos, sometimes gave better drops than raiding.
  • I think meh. Best pvp is 1x1 against a equally geared opponent.
Many geared against one is just very meh.
  • In this kind of event u see what ppl play with u. Totally [filtered] if u focus to kill someone during an event. Later u will be excluded just for being a "pvper" called by yourself.

not all of the mongos were party/raid based, rare Mandrakes were solo and they dropped tons of +16 crit innerwears till EME nerfed them, another solo mongo was frogs, they were dropping goldfinger tokens and noble timber if you can find rare froggy.

what! rare froggy drops noble timber mount? welp i missed it i hasnt seen single rare mongo ( golden scarab is like shiny pokemon with 0.01% spawn rate and froggy i never seen one) i wanna cri i've been wanted noble timber mount :(

enough of these dumb mongo threads. the event was not a success.
all you openworld "pvpers" say you wish for everyone to be out of town but in reality you really want to pk lowbies and feel powerful.
the truth is you should be in champions skyring because that's where you'd be up against players that can fight back, but oh wait, it's dead because you're out killing lowbies ,not queing for a fair fight.
    pking is not pvping.
just like how a suckerpunch isnt a fight.

    p.s wannabe's allowed.

yep, I got one out of 5 rare frogs, they were so hard to find so I just farmed them when I couldn't find a raid xD

Unfortunately, for the hours I hunted, there wasn't much to get out of the event. For me, it felt like being in a raid WAS the only way to get a hoard going.

@Eiiji - I find those goldfinger tokens pretty worthless. For me, at least. But as stated above, soloing was not an option if you wanted to be able to see bulk. At least not on MT.

  • @TheOzunu

Don't overstep your mark. Skyring can be stacked just like fraywind and OW can be stacked.

Overall the Mongo event ushered in a lot of supplies so for now it's all about waiting for that to settle down.

As for Pking lowbies, I'd say you're a little salty over being roflstomped by more than a few people. True it can be aggravating but you're either going to laugh or cry. Majority of Tera do the latter unfortunately.
  • People tried to gank me.. People failed.

I saved up my Underwear boxes and it paid off today with the update.
  • I really hope they bring it back at some point, when i got back into the game the event was over and apparently it was a really awesome way of getting resources and gold in general.
  • Nope. The BAM event was way better.
