er 1-9 you use alk from broker
10-12 THEN you use premium or MWA or extensive
10-12 You should use all your fodder gear before using MWA
If you do dailies religiously or just play the game overtime you will see fodder gear pile up.
It does work just eat a lot of fodder.
Lastly, you could always wait for an events to +12 Mid tier gear but honestly between fodder and 1-9 t9 Alks shouldnt have to use any MWA unless impatient. That 45 fails though....this why RNG is outdated
And it is not as bad as your gear.
Sure I had gear that hit 10% correction rate, but still not as much fs as you guys.
You can't wait a week to requalify in Alliance before wasting all your mats? Man you must be anxious to get to the enchanting....
Seriously, I only mentioned it because it is not often mentioned that it works on mid-tier gear and even IMP up to +12. And I love Alliance, which really only has the one perk left.
edit: Mostly I'm just pissed, and I didn't like grinding for alliance the first time. I sure as hell don't want to do it again a few weeks before it's removed.
It's not 100% superstitious, but based mostly on how RNG behaved in game through long time observation.
This dated back quite a while ago but had been finalized around the time Tera still had the old awakening system where if you failed once your weapon would go back to +12. Based on the fact that RNG in nature is a system which uses specific values (which constantly changes) in a complex formula to produce results "seem" to be as random as possible, and on the observation of how it behaved in Tera, we came to the conclusion that our RNG system heavily relies on time stamp, as seen by having "long crit chain despite the overall low crit rate", "multiple jackpots when opening boxes in succession", "one person got most of the loot if loot is set to random and everyone pick them up at the same time", "much higher chance to +15 in quick and succession attempt instead of doing it one by one", "chain successes or failures in enchanting using auto enchant".... This research was further expanded into "timing roll to ensure high chance of getting high roll", by which we stopped after reaching the conclusion that the timing changes with every patch and differs from accounts to accounts (not characters from characters), so it's not worth to continue any longer.
This, however, only works if other values used were the same (same box/alkahest type... - not sure if it's because of the big change in time stamp while ppl switch box/alkahest or simply because other values were changed along with the switch, we couldn't test it since we would need a macro AND low ping AND no UI lag to do it fast enough)
So yea, it's not superstitious BS.
