What would you do to the Snipers of world bosses and those which doesn't share?

I called 2 bosses to share it, both times ppl came and sniped it and did it in 3 Channels, if they are not trolls and toxic, what are they?

I am asking the community of coarse, not EME. So what to do with people that are nasty like that? Remembering their name and kicking out of raids, parties? They want everything Solo and for themselves, right?

For some people's information: It was on 2 PVE server that happened, so don't act like PVP servers are bad or something and also the server that is not sharing much world bosses is CH unfortunately.

It is not so bad, I know but it creates an unhealthy and not so good environment when people does that.

PS: I can refer to Space.Rabbit from CH which always shares world bosses in chats and always waits, ppl know him on CH and sometimes even his bosses got sniped, not cool, we need to teach'em some lessons, I know some ppl on PVP server do give them lessons tho :D

If it's not kept private, you should expect it to happen. There's nothing you can really do about it other than blacklisting them.

I know, I always do, but the reason I brought this is, to somehow boycott these players for a better environment, we have seen that working together and teamwork can really lead to a better experience for many, and some of those players are really ruining it. so taking action against them from other members of community might help.

PS: couple of days ago for example. I shared Darzan with more than 20 ppl, and then we even shared Sharzan for those which doesn't had it, it felt really good.
  • Honestly, all world bosses immediately after maintenance are generally free-for-all. If you have friends that are already on and you can party them and get them there ASAP, then by all means do so, but 'FFA after maint' is the policy most accomplished WB hunters abide by. The reason for this is because the people who only casually hunt them usually only do so after maintenance- when they know for sure the bosses should be alive, so you need to act fast or lose them. Any other time/day you would absolutely share it with as many people as possible, only killing if someone else turns up and tries to snipe it from you.

I try to keep this on mind, thanks.

You could also tag the WBs with a low level weapon. Then just reset it and kill it when everyone is there. Anyone who tries to snipe it will just give credit to those in the original raid at the time of tagging.

I used to lead a big world boss group in CH for months, many, many people got their fairy through it. The group is no more because everyone pretty much finished and we didn't really bother to find new hunters.

After server maintenance, expect WBs to be more FFA. People are trying to kill as many as possible, so waiting is not really a good idea. Usually it doesn't work out.

Outside of those times though, yes, people can afford to wait and share. There have been and will always be snipers. We'd find a world boss, wait for people to show up, only for someone to appear and kill it. Some of these people were quite infamous for it, we kept a black list to know who to not invite in the future since they were regularly sniping in front of our noses (when we never really had any problems with inviting them to the raid, they just refused to).

How to deal with them? You can tag a world boss as soon as you find it, then call for others to share while the boss is tagged. As long as you do damage first everyone in the raid will get kill credit. If a sniper shows up and kills it while tagged, they will not get kill credit, only those near the boss in your raid will. Just keep in mind you have to reset the boss by moving out of its wandering range every time someone logs out or in, or joins or leaves the raid, because if you don't the raid leader won't get kill credit.

All of this is more or less moot since the achievements are gonna get nerfed really hard to only require one kill each, so the time spent on these achievements will be greeeeaatly reduced, which also probably means much less drama involved.
  • Survival of the fittest.
  • who are u sharing with? global?
unless that server only have like 20 players online at a time, its ridiculous to assume that only one raid party gonna show up.
u cant just go around calling people nasty just because they not part of your friend circle.

part of my circle? when I stand for 5 mins by a boss and do not rush it and waits for couple of ppl, then a party of 3 comes and attacks it, w/o announcing and sniping and also ignoring other announcements. If you say this is an OK behaviour, then there is no room for discussions.

When I hunted world bosses I was part of a raid that hunted around the clock, we used a private chat channel so we could easily communicate with each other. From time to time we would encounter a person we don't know outside of the raid, if they were at the boss before us we would invite them to the raid so they could take part in the kill, if they showed up to the boss after we got there and seemed like they are going to snipe the boss we all would go outlaw to give a warning, if they persisted we'd kill them.

Now to prevent sniping all you have to do is "tag" the world boss, all you have to do is hit the boss just one time with the weakest skill your class has (for low level bosses, equip a weak weapon). Even if someone "snipes" the boss after YOU tagged it, YOU still get the kill count. When in a raid and you tag a world boss, just wait for everyone in the raid to show up then kill it. If someone joins the raid after you've tagged the world boss, you have to reset the boss in order for that new person to also get the kill count.

Lesson learned, ALWAYS TAG WORLD BOSSES IMMEDIATELY!!

PS. Andras in Blesin Basin can only be reset by everyone switching to a different channel then switch back

    @Deathologist
Stop being naive, not everyone shares your goals and its not against rules to be "jerks". If they beat you to the world bosses, then the fault lies on you for waiting on everyone to get on your short bus.

The best thing you can do is learn from this experience and take a few tips people have already posted on this thread.

Law of the Jungle, this is why I gave up on OWB's and won't even try anymore. Getting 1 kill is hard enough, trying to do the 50 and 100 achievements is ridiculous, even with hunting raids, the spawn timers are insane. This has been true ever since Tera went F2P. I'll pass until they decide to revert it. RIP fairy

Dont´t worry Lilith's patch will reduce the time of respaw to 1 hour and achievements goal to 1 kill instead 50 or 100, just wait till NA gets the patch
