Need help choosing slayer race

From what I'm seeing everyone says Castanic Female or Human Male for slayer race. I wanted to play as an Elin, are they at that much of a disadvantage?

Castanic Female probably has the smoothest animation out of all.
Elins have a longer Fury range than the rest and their animations aren't as bad.
Human Males are okay-ish, the same applies to Amani Males (not sure about females but their stance looks very nice).

what are you looking for? looks? Amani male is great since their style is very close to reality, steady, hard hitting attacks.

Casta female, is fantasy, acrobatic, also their passive helps.

PVP wise: Popori, elin, female casta, smaller hit box, better range to land your skills.

PS: I maxed 3 slayers, femani, amani, female elf, working on Casta, Popo soon.

Just choose whichever race you like. Unless you really going to pvp often, then elin or casta female will be advantageous. Been rocking Elf female slayer since the game went F2P

Popo slayer has the worst auto attack animation and hitbox that even sucks in PvE. Popo's fly kick sends itself too far to land overhand strike. Popo's evasive roll suffers from desync (to be exact, it moves 5m forward when in air, then 1m backward when landing with desync, 1m forward without desync) that make this race even harder to reposition(For example, flip over boss to catch backtime). Funny evasive roll is the only reason for me to play this race

since nobody gave you baraka as recommendation, i say go for baraka slayer, there are very few of them, you'll basically be unique

Slayer is the most stylish class by far. So, you have to choose the most stylish race to complete the combo xD.

baraka slayer... i could imagine myself being giant and fat with long greatsword and big guy can destroy any little people...

baraka slayer is okay but his hitbox is so huge that little people like human, castanic, popori, elin will target big guy first then kill em all

Both Castanic Female and Human Male are excellent races for Slayer.

Elin is fine. The difference is really small. People just like to make a big deal about it.

I personally don't like the left handed animations, but it's bad from a gameplay stand point. Popo is terrible though - not gonna lie.

Just pick Elin if that's the race you want to play as. The biggest variable when it comes to any player's effectiveness with a class is almost always (like 99.999999999% of the time) their level of skill with the class. The difference that your race would make is negligible. If you want to play as elin, play as an elin. If you play a different race on the basis of "fewer people play this race so I'll pick it to be unique", or "it has a slight edge over these other races", that's just a race change voucher waiting to happen.
