    Agreed. And it also helps out the odd new player who may not be all that familiar with the tips and tricks associated with the class/role (if one decides to commit, of course).

    My own philosophy is as such: DPS tells me how to attack, tank classes tell me how to defend, and support classes tell me how the battlefield works and how to prioritize. It's been working for me so far.

    As for the OP, if you're thinking about soloing the game, you may want a high-damage class like a gunner or a DPS-focused brawler. Leveling will be simple, and when you hit the end-game (**snort**), those two classes can still slaughter everything with relative ease.

    Gunners and brawlers also can easily solo dungeons. Not just run solo versions of dungeons, but run full dungeons solo.

    Unquestionably, Brawler. It's a tanking class that can DPS as much or more than DPS classes.

    The issue with solo'ing a brawler is that it isn't a DPS class. It is a tank class. Just as you don't want to be a newbie player healing a dungeon, you don't want to be a newbie player tanking a dungeon.

    As for the ninja's autismoframes, they probably won't be that useful to a new player.

    Of the new classes, Gunner is definately the best one to go with.

    As for the older classes, I would go Archer or Zerker. I previously said warrior, but it really does have a high skill requirement. Slayers have been suggested, but they are squishy and slow where as the Zerker is just slow.

    The first character I picked was a Mystic. Bad idea. As I said, you don't want to be in a crucial role when you're new. Everything one shot me, and I didn't know how to really play the game. As soon as I hit 40 I switched to reaper, which was also a bad idea since I hit 65 with no real idea as to how to play the game. I then leveled a Sorc to 65, and finally knew what the [filtered] I was doing. This was followed by a Zerker, then the aforementioned Mystic, then Brawler, and finally Warrior. I have a Gunner and Ninja parked at 59 and 56 respectively. The rest are too low to really mention.
