Unable to join an Alliance

As the title says I'm unable to join an alliance even though I meet the requirements. Once I press join nothing happens. Was there any news of new of it being disabled? I'm in FF by the way.

    Make sure you are GM of the guild you're in and you have 1k gold in your inventory, cause it costs 1k to join an alliance.

    Doubt it was disabled. But yea, it's kinda late for you to do anything meaningful in Alliance. You need to hit 2000 contribution points to become an alliance member when the season resets on Tuesdays to take advantage of anything it offers. By the time you do manage to get all that done it's going to be removed since the Civil unrest is being added next Tuesday

    On Fey Forest alliance is completely broken.
    You can't join alliances, port to ally zones or anything.

    If anything it wants to join EU just for the extra credits like most people.
