Did the Rewards Level Bug Cheat Me?

So to sum this up, yesterday I spent about 20k gold on some extra enchanting materials to enchant my +15 SF Ninja Weapon (currently at +14). I only had enough for materials 10 attempts, but I decided to try it anyway. So I enchanted it and failed all 10 times. That's of course no surprise. However, after I got off for the day I read about the rewards level that was currently at level 1 for most (all?) of the players. My rewards level is at level 3, so I should have gotten a +1% chance to enchant all gear. I didn't notice it at the time I was enchanting, only a while after. Was it just a visual bug, or did it actually remove that 1% increase, and is there anything I could do about it? i know that only 10 attempts to +15 is nothing, but I still feel like any extra chance I could have gotten would have helped a lot. If there's nothing I can do about it, then I guess this is just a bit of a rant thread, so please enjoy my salt. :P

  • It isn't necessarily guaranteed that your level was below where it should have been; it was kind of random. So it's really hard to say for sure if you were impacted or not. I know for me, personally, I happened to not be impacted, but I know others who were. I don't know what the common factor was, or if it was truly random. Most of the people I heard from weren't all the way back down at 1, but they were just one level below where they previously were. That said, in your specific case, one level lower would indeed have removed this bonus.

There probably isn't really anything that can be done about it, unfortunately, because there's no way to know for sure a) whether you were missing the buff, or b) whether having that buff would have actually made a material difference. But yeah, it's an annoying combination of circumstances, for sure.
