Server maintence posts are hard to find

Any chance we could get server maintenance in its own category under 'Official TERA news' or maybe a link.

I can't find the patch notes though I did find out about an emergency server maintenance that I wasn't on for. I didn't need to know about that, just want the patch notes for this week or at least something saying they aren't up so I can stop looking. Everything is jumbled together under news and it is kind of annoying.

Most of my awareness about the game changes comes from player posts which is BAD!

    That is, like, perfectly useless.
  • its just the weekly maint so
  • I read that it was announced ingame, considering most people just play and don't come to the forums, it makes sense.

Also if you've been playing for at least 2 weeks you should know at this time there's maintenance.

Lastly, here's a link to every single post done by EME staff: http://forums.enmasse.com/tera/search?adv=&search=&title=&author=Denommenator,Treeshark,Spacecats,Geletron&cat=all&tags=&discussion_d=1&comment_c=1&within=1+day&date=

    Then why reply?
  • They said in game this one was going to be 3 hours but the website says 2...

There's no altered schedule or anything...

    I found this:

    http://tera.enmasse.com/news-page/patch-notes

But its for August 9th... Theres nothing after it...

No updates, no notice. Come back tomorrow, we should be done by then.
  • I don't see anything on Reddit either nor can I find anything at all on other social media outlets.

Weekly maintenance doesnt have patch notes ....
Or you want a patch notes like this :

    -Remove spiders web
    -Backup
    -Clean cache
-Hamster deaths since last week: 0
  • like i said, its just another regular maint
they have these every week.. worried about when the server is going to be back up? refresh the link i sent you

    There are no patch notes.

Is just maintenance, not an update.

The announcement in game happens at specific times. It's not a reliable source of information as there are so many reasons for a player not to see or read it.

I've been playing for the last 4 years and still had no idea the weekly maintenance was going to take longer today. Didn't know playing Tera developed psychic powers....

Anyway, the issue I see here is that maintenance is not properly announced, especially when it's extended. Sure, you can go to the server status page and learn that the server is down...which you probably already suspected if you went to check(you wouldn't be looking there if you were online). For some time extended maint as being announced on the support page of all places(doesn't seem to be the case any more). The server status page has a nice little "announcements" part and I have never seen anything there. Even when a maint is extended by 2-3h, there are still "no announcements at this time".
  • @Ketoth lol yeah some games will do things like, "Fixed server crash", and they were no one out there reporting server crashes to my knowledge...

@Devilzweed They said in game that it would be around 3 hours of expected down time. To me this means that its a little bit more than routine maintenance. Maybe they fixing issues of FF still? Who knows, but EME...

Well EME can't even update the calendar so you can't expect them to post when maintenance will be, even though they always used to.
