Prior to this merge, there were barely any people in HW with full SF (yes, even this late in the patch HW was pathetically geared compared to the other servers), less than probably 15 imperator weapons (and even less people capable of running SSHM/DSuppers without the use of 2 or more of the core HW players able to consistently clear), and a less than 1100 rating for top 10 FWC/3s board. Tell me how an end game interested player in HW was going to be satisfied with the pathetic state of the server? If they wanted high end pve they were hard pressed to find others like themselves. If they wanted high end pvp... good luck as I doubt more than 2 premades in HW would have been in non equalized for fwc. This is why the majority of talented HW players already left HW like 3 months ago, they knew the server had nothing left for them. Now, let's look to the future: 30 man raid coming in 2-3 months? I highly HIGHLY doubt HW would have even been able to attempt that raid. However, now with the influx of LoT/VoT players (many of whom have been around in this game long before the majority of HW players even knew this game existed), I am pretty confident FF can attempt and most likely quickly clear the 30 man raid (the only server I now doubt being able to clear it is CH).
What I see in FF now is an actually somewhat competitive fwc/3s board so there is actual end game pvp opportunities for players present (yes, former HW players included) that so chose to pursue it, more end game pve going on so you can do something more than your DFNM dailies every day, and actual players that know what they're doing so the rest of the population can benefit from being around better players. It is my firm belief that all end game opportunities should be present to players that chose to pursue them and I think EME has done a splendid job in providing such opportunities to all former HW/LoT/VoT players.
And the trade-off for all these benefits is being potentially pked in the open world when 99% of end game activities don't even take place in open world? Wow what a small price to pay!

Somehow I doubt that many people are going to move to AV after they've been given the chance to have a server that rivals MT/TR in terms of giving them as much access to end game as possible.
Sorry if I make it seems like I was talking about the in-game comunity, I was talking about the forums community, which I saw too indiferent about important aspects of in-game facts.
Sorry if I cann't make sense on my post, English is not my language and I don't use translators either. All that I know about the english language are thanks to the videogames so that's why I really like to play, not only for the content.
I love Tera, but there are things that I don't like from MMORPG's and I Thought I could avoid it here, and here I'm in the situation that I didn't want it.
I have not problems with the in-game community, even when I was in a PvP when I started playing Tera, I didn't new what PvP mean and learned the hard way.
The hard way was on months before Tera was announced on steam, where lv 65 outcasts gattered on low lvl towns like lumbertwon and spread all over Tera.
Just to get out from lumbertwon to do quest were a survival of the fittest where I was killed every 5-10 minutes, this outcast were on everychannel and took me days to complete the quests for that area.
I continue playing but like a casual player that I'm taking screenshots is one of my dayly activities, I do really like the open world of Tera, It's a magic kindom full of beatiful aspects and really cute and cool characters.
Every day that passed I really loved more and more this game and my toon, the fact to be hunted for a group of popories at poporia were a trauma for me, then trying to avoid outlaws I get to travel to Allemantia by mistake and were taking screenshoots outthere but mobs were really too much for me because the lvl diference, I ended up asking for help to other player to return Velika because I got lost on somekind of dungeon (thought wheres kaydun is), he was nice and gave me a scrool to travel to Velika, hell, I didn't new those things existed at that time.
I tried to continue the story quest on castanic harbor but I continued finding outlaws who pking undergeared players were their reason to be.
After several months playing on a PvP I thought about my situation and ended taking a desicion I truly regret, I deleted my toon and unnistalled Tera. That was hard for me becuase I really enjoy it the few things the game offered me but I couldn't stand to spend more time trying to survive from outlaws ambush's that playing the game or taking the screenshoots from the spots I really liked.
Many days after I deleted my toon and unninstalled Tera I saw it on Steam and it had a increadible rate and great comments on it, and I learned the diference between PvP server and PvE server. I took my chances and created another new Toon on HW server, one who resemble the previous one that I deleted.
I were exited with the idea to do what I liked most in the game whitout interference, just me and my Toon on this magical paradise.
All that were to good and many things that I could do and spend my time on it, cosmetics that I got that I never could think I will be able to afford.
Later I learned how to sped fashion coupons and federation bills, don't laught at me if I said that I thought that was uselees item on my inventory, but learning how to usethem I changed my pace and played more to get more of them and more cosmetics for my toon.
I continue playing the game being happy in the new server that I choose and happy for all the things that I get to do without lowgeared player's hunters. When I learned how to farm gold I opted to create more toons and trying to enjoy every class You could play.
My firts toon is a Slayer wich I think is the more hard core to play because it's poor defense stats and meele combat, then I created a Priest, a Reaper, a Lancer, a Ninja, an Archer, a Warrior, a Sorceress, a Mistic, a Berserk then I have two Gunners and a Brawler.
I were really happy with every Toon I created, even with the Castanic, Human and High Elf, they are hard to customise for my tastes and because I saw great players creations all across Tera, my previous Toons were made with the presets but don't matter because they were fin with it.
All was like a golden era for me, I even tried to mastarwork +12 a dreadnaught, I never enchanted gear ever so that was my first, wasting materials, resourses, gold and got from RNG boxes from cosmetics, but I saw how almost everything was consumed for just an +12 set for my Slayer.
That made me realize if I wanted to be fair for my toons i needed to gear them properly and started to do dailies to get more gold for waht i needed I even started to buy more RNG boxes so I would afford the alkahest, spellbinds and master enigmatic scrolls needed to enchant, even bought from broker a lot of tier 7 and 8 feedstook spending the gold I earned from dailies.
When time passed I learned that there were more tipes of high lvl gear like lucid and starfall and started to craft to get the level neded to craft those gear, but I am new to craft so I far from it even now. So I continue gathering gold and materials for enchanting, even keept the crafttin scrools I found wereever I got one to try and caft new things with my slow sense for crafting.
Almost everything would be perfect in all this, I got many enchanting material, many crafting materials, enoght gold to buy an Island but that happinees couldn't last longer.
The very aspect of this game I was avoiding for two years came to HW endeangering my freedom, my sense of satisfaction, my tranquility, my days of hapiness came to an end with the sole new of that and worst came to worst.
Now that I seek how to preserve this happiness without sacrifice anything no solution is at my disposal. I already sacrifice one toon I really liked because of me being an ignorant and I could not afford to lose twice something that I spend my time and my joyful moments on it.
I came to the forums with the idea to get some solutions or read an oficial statement from eme telling me to better quit the game and thier choosing to obliterate HW and the PvE server I choose was with no consecuense for them.
But coming here were worst that I thought, its the very same players from those PvP servers merged on HW (and I sure they are from there) the ones who said that its bulls hit what I think and they don't care about that.
Obviously they are happy, because they got what they want, they have now a PvP server with the tag of a PvP65, they have 3 or more times the population than they had in their previous servers, their markets are being more fair, they have more variety of cosmetics, they have pp who can PvP almost all day, they can do dailies and PKing in the process if they want it, they have theirs dreams came tru for GvG and Raids, or PvP events, but there is no little hapinnes for me in all that because I have to live in a curfew wich I never disered.
Now I have to be on a secluded part of the world of Tera that I really love and look far away to see how I got stolen from my fredom and the lands that I could travel with safety.
Now I have to choose to be one of the huntress, became a prey or to be in a golden cage dreamin about the past days of HW.
Now that things come to worst I thought it couldn't be worse but it went worst again at the cost of the things I earned for playin this game with dedication and love.
This is like being told by your lover that he don't like You in the very wedding ceremony and then give You the options a) to be the waitress or b) farewell.
I really don't understand why have to change a whole PvE, server with more population than the other two, in a PvP. Don't give that lie about the PvP65 server, that's the same thing to have chaged for a full PvP server.
They choose to destroy an entire PvE server to preserve the players from two servers that were actually dead.
Why don't compromise with them and tell them to be on a full PvE server?
Why don't offer them to move "Free" to another PvP server.
Why the PvE players had to compromise everything and the PvP players had to compromise almost nothing?
I don't understand it, the only diference between a PvE sever and a PvP server are the oulaws, everything is almost the same, You can duel other players, You can do GvG.
The only diference for them it's that they can't have victims from their ganks, low level gear victims for the abusive players who likes to OWP other casual players.
So why do I have to lose the very essence of a PvE wich is to prevent other player to hunt players?
I'm really sad and compromise with pp who don't want to compromise either is not an option for me, much less when I see the ones who are taking all the benefits are the first ones to call me a cry baby and other things you could read in this thread.
You really think that I will feel confortable with those pp around in the same server.
No, just can't stand it, if the ones who are taking all the benefits have even the nerve to make fun of the ones who are on the other face of the coin, then I better quit this game for the best.
Looking at the users who are replying in this thread I even saw several from other PvE server making fun of this situation so I understand the pp on the forums don't like to debate issues that could be resolved in better ways but they choise to harrass the ones who are being afected for those issues.
I really hope the forums could change before the in-game to have better feedback from facts in-game and not from pp who are just making fun from pp afected from the changes.
Even no person to Eme was here to slap me at the face and tell me I'm wrong telling me the PROs an PvE player could get from this, that I don't ever see one, I don't even think a Raid of 30 players could get done with all the issues in the fps and latency we live in this game everyday, but thay choose to atend a future need best than an actual need.
That's is just imposible but they did it the last thing thay needed to do first and left for never what it really needs to be done before thinking in a Raid.

So what changed for you when Highwatch became pvp65? I'm a pure pve player and I can honestly say I don't feel any different than before, nor do I feel threatened whenever I walk outside of a safe zone. Everyone has minded their own business so far even when they turned outlaw on. To me it just feels like you are letting your fear take control.
Now, I DO have a question that I assume only a few can coherently answer. Why can't we go back to the days Tera had only 3 servers? Is the population actually bigger than back then? If I remember, that was around 2013, but not sure at all. I remember all the old servers were merged into two, leaving only CH out of it because of the RP server tag.
I COULD assume population may be bigger because of f2p, and I think that mega merger happened when the game was still p2p. Again, not sure. I just know that such setup could have been useful around now for most players to be able to easily try the upcoming content (which needs a lot of skilled players and thus why we are having all this restructuring around). Still, I would like a voice with more knowledge about this.
