Fire Avalanche question

Okay, so I recently noticed something that's been bothering me, as I don't know if it's just me, or if someone else has also noticed this.

Whenever I cast Fire Avalanche and I have any sort of attack speed increase (the lancer party attack speed buff or the blazing glyph for attunement), the skill doesn't hit properly. By this, I mean that, normally, each of the three casts does several hits, but when I have extra attack speed, it only does one. I have high ping, but I don't see how that would be a problem, as I don't spam the button, which might (I'm thinking) cause the animation to be cancelled, resulting in the damage not being dealt.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

  • Ive never seen multiple hits per cast from FA.. always just the 3 big numbers from each cast.. are you sure the extra damage is from FA? Sounds like something else could be proc'ing sometimes and not proc'ing other times for you.. reading FA's tooltip it doesn't say anything about multiple hits per cast.. just that you can cast 3 times before CD..

    Now, the problem is that the second and third casts already have faster animations than the first cast. With increased attack speed, they only deal one hit each instead of three.
  • Desync.

    FA desyncs quite often depending on where you position your camera from what I've noticed.
  • That's why I only use fire avalanche against giant objects like Odon and Verno. Rest of all will result in desync that million damage never happen.
