Is the new GVG equalized?

Is it? or will we use our own gear?

If it's equalized, bye bye.

    see ya
  • equalized outfits and mount...not gears. You will use your own gears in gvg
  • That sounds more fun.

Seriously, the only thing I do is pvp. EQing new gvg.... that would be just... I dunno....
  • No. It's your own gear.

If they made it EQ it'd be one more reason not to gear up or do the gvg
  • If you're in a smaller, weaker guild, be sure to form an alliance with other smaller, weaker guilds to zerg the [filtered] out of the bigger, stronger guilds. At least then, you'll stand a chance of winning.
  • so you can ally with other guilds? that sounds interesting, but in the end only one wins? Anyway, I guess we can all see it in action next week...

I don't think there's an in-game mechanic that allows you to ally with other guilds, but you can at least coordinate with others to get the bigger, stronger guilds out of the way first so that they don't end up winning each and every time.

@Schwerpunkt You can form parties and raids with people from other guilds, which will make everyone in that party/raid friendly to each other. This makes it possible for players from different guilds to team up to try and take down any larger guilds that could possibly try and hoard all of the winnings to themselves. The only downside would be deciding which guild gets to have the last tower standing to receive all of the gold collected from taxes (if multiple towers remain, the tax gold is rolled over to the next conflict's prize).
  • I figured guilds were all made enemies of each other, and that even forming up a raid together didn't prevent them from damaging each other since that's how alliance worked (Iron Order players could form a party with Enlightened Union players, but the two could still damage and kill each other while being in the same party).
  • does it matter it'll just be exploited like alliance was
