Returning Player after 2 years
A lot of things changed, one I noticed "Blast from the Past" isn't available anymore. The downside of that for me is that I was going to use it to complete "Story" quests that I can't seem to finish at my current level.
As I level my Ninja, I must stick to only "Story" quests or I will surpass the levels granted to do those special dungeons like "Cultist Revenge" to get nice gear. On top of that, specific story stages are then locked out because I'm leveling so fast (almost 50 in a week). So, it seems now I can only seek monsters to kill and bypass all story quests. Why do the story quest stages at all if I can't complete the whole thing? That is extremely frustrating.
The entire instance matching has changed in 2 years, and being a RPGer who wants to experience the story again... is there some way I can complete the story stages that are locked off like Cultist Revenge? I can not get instance matching for it because it doesn't show and I suspect it's my level.
As far as I am concerned the story quest that is required to perform in a 5-person party should be done away and allowed for soloist. One of my characters is a Mystic level 65 and I pretty much soloed that all the way... EXCEPT for the stupid 5-person party requirement to get that story stage that LOCKS YOU OUT unless you are the correct level.
In my opinion, that is a sorry piece of oversight and poor consideration for players who like to solo. Especially now that it traps players from progressing in the story experience. Please do something about these issues.

The solo version of dungeons does not progress quests (it was introduced to allow for gear-farming but we level so quickly it's useless), but the 5-man version does. Since you're going to be overleveled regardless of what content you do due to the insane exp increase from all quests and Vanguard requests and what have you (for example, the Joy of Partying buff that increases exp gain by 400% when in a 5-man party in leveling dungeons,) soloing the 5-man dungeons would be technically easier since, well, you're overleveled for them.
if you're still uncomfortable with the above proposed solution, and if you play on AV server, I would love to help you run through the storyline.
