Quite a few questions for a possible new player.
One of my friends suggested this game to me to try out.
For some reason... it seems that I've tried this out before as when I went to register, it said I've already was registered and even knew the name I would've picked... so probably I made an account years ago and just never got around to this game.
Either way... my friend isn't around at the moment and I know there's certain things he won't have answers to so I guess I'll just ask here.
1. Is there a range/gun class within this game or is it all melee? My friend I know is mainly a melee player in anything so he I'm sure might not know.
2. Is there a species/race that use said range/gun that don't wear very revealing or "hoar"-ific looking outfits? I did do a quick check online and saw them speaking about certain races weare more revealing than others, but I havent't seen anything on what those races can use or play as.
3. Is this game really controller supportive? This was one my friend did mention, but I never got a chance to ask him how supportive. Is it full? Partial? Can you also edit the controller settings? I know certain games won't allow you to edit the controller settings and you're stuck with however the default is... which at times could be a problem.
4. Can the game be played solely as PVE? I do remember my friend mentioning that around endgame it seems to be mostly PVP, but was wondering if I would need to rely on PVP or if at some point it's mandatory to play PVP to do advance to certain areas or levels or whichever.
5. Optional: Why do I usually dream about having a pet zombie?

Ranged Classes are Archer (bow), Sorc (disc), Gunner (cannon). So, Gunner is the ranged+gun class.
For Gunner, only Female Castanic and Female High Elf can be selected, so if you want to use any race you would have to go with Archer or Sorc.
I know you can use a controller, and people use their own setup. Although some controllers cause performance issues at times. Other than that, I don't know much about controller steup.
You can progress strictly through PvE, it's just at times the best way (unfortunately) to get stuff for PvE is through PvP.

I'm going to take the guess from that statement that Castanic and High Elf don't have any armour or clothing that isn't revealing?

The game is targeted at more "mature" audiences.

These armors are available in-game as both default templates for endgame gear and as Fashion Coupon costumes, as pointed out earlier.
Those first two aren't bad at all. Especially the first one.
However, its best to use a mouse especially if you PVP
PVE doesn't matter as long as you don't play a healer with the controller
