Pretty sure they will, or maybe not :scream: Even so, Extra Life is not until November, so maybe EME has not registered yet.
  • Any updates? :D

YES! We'll be doing Extra Life this year. It's going to be a lot of work, but we'll do our best to put on a good show for you guys!

Look for a News post with more information in the next week or two. I'll be working with our creative team to get our page looking spiffy ;D

    What the heII is that?

    Extra Life?

A 24-hour gaming live stream event aiming to raise money for charity. EME has been participating for the last few years (along with a lot of other game companies and individual streamers).
  • Woo hoo! I only raised 50 bucks last year, but I'm hoping to do better this time around <3 If this laptop can handle Twitch, that is.... my beloved PC bit the dust during my move. @[email protected] Crossing my fingers!!

    hello from the other side.
I am very interested about the Extra Life that you guys are talking about. Feel free to orient me about this if you have extra time. Kudos!
  • Could someone explain to me how Extra Life works? I wish to livestream TERA this year and would like some details prior to the event so I can prepare.

You'll be invited to join the TERA stream team once they get their group started on Extra Life/Twitch. You'll need to create an Extra Life and Twitch account, and in order to participate, join the TERA team (they'll give you the info once it's all set up!). Extra Life itself is a 24 hour fundraiser that raises money for charity by gamers such as you and I. We stream our gameplay, post our donation page links wherever possible, and cross our fingers :D Generally TERA has a reward system for those who raise money in tiered amounts. I believe last year, it was 25, 50, 100, etc. I may not be remembering correctly, but you get the gist! Streamers were given a pack of codes to give out in-game, it's suggested that you use them to reward those who donate.
If you have any more questions, let me know ^^

Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a 24 hour gaming marathon to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $22 million for local CMN Hospitals

Here is the website link. I've been participating in the Extra Life event for a couple years now (this will be my fourth). The Children's Hospital in my area helped my family a lot when my daughter was younger, so I feel this is a small way to give back to them.

Last year i know EME raised over $10,000 for Extra life.
Due to the "Brawler Sneak peak"
Which is always awesome to see people supporting such a good cause :+1:
But i honestly don't believe i ever actually received my "Rewards" For Donating to EME last year.
Would have to look over my accounts,
But I'm pretty sure i dropped 2x $50 donations which should of given me:

    2x Permanent Account Quacklemore Mount
    2x Rambo

    But never received them.

After the Brawler was actually released, I took 7months off from the game anyway.
Not that it really matters much now. Just kind of crossed my mind.

Was still for a good cause, And I'll most likely be matching the same donation as last year.
  • ratedX, if you payed for them yourself, they don't count. The donations had to come from elsewhere. That was the explanation I was given. However, you can try (even though it's pretty darn late now!) to submit a ticket and see what the issue was. Maybe they'll be able to figure it out.

I didn't really agree with that method- even if I made the donation myself, I should still receive the rewards, you know? Maybe they'll go a different route this year.

Looked up the 2015 Extra life page.

"While you don’t have to donate money to participate in our stream or win prizes, in order to receive donation rewards, please make sure that you are not set as anonymous when donating. If we can’t figure out who you are, we can’t give out your prize! And remember, all money donated on our official Extra Life page goes to Seattle Children’s Hospital and is tax-deductible.

    Donate $25 or more:

    Permanent Account Quacklemore Mount

    Donate $50 or more:

    Permanent Account Quacklemore Mount
    Rambo

TERA Extra Life Team Members who raise over $50 donations:

    Permanent Account Quacklemore Mount
    Rambo
    Cheshire Grin

    Found here - http://tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/extra-life-2015-update

Doesn't mention anything about "The donations had to come from elsewhere"
Just says, Don't be a Anonymous Donator.

Might open a ticket, if i can find the charges for it. But, I'm not really that worried about it.
Was last year, I got into the private "Brawler Sneak Peak" Server, Took time off.

It's just one of those things that popped in the back of my mind like. Hey, I never got my dang mount lol

If you donated directly to EME's own channel, you're eligible for the rewards. But if you donated anonymously and didn't provide your character/server, they wouldn't have known how to contact you (because they don't get your info otherwise). That's most likely the problem.

If they could find you, you should have received an email on 30 November with an item code... but it's possible that item code may have expired by now. It's probably going to be hard for the Community Team to chase this down now, but you could try ([email protected]).

The bit about "the donations had to come from elsewhere" only applies if you were a streamer, and are talking about donations made to your own channel. Those donations only counted for the streamer rewards if they were from someone else, not yourself. But it doesn't apply if you donated directly to EME's channel.

Good to know EME will be doing an Extra Life stream. Now if only my computer could handle Streaming, and my work hours would not be totally messed up, i would definitely stream. I guess ill just support charity like every year.

Thanks for that bit of info about the timeframe of when the codes were e-mailed out. I'll check that out.
As for donating anonymously, I didn't. I always left my character names, info with a little shoutout.
But you are probably correct about the codes being expired, but you never know.
Those codes Darina gave out for those streaming during the "Brawler sneak peak" Lasted quite a while.
Which gave the person a Castanica Demons Smart Box and a Riding Skill: Red Racer
